Works fine so far, did a lot of 1 hour continues test with it and all good, only down side a backlight would had been nice to have.

I bought this thermometer because my wife was telling me the electric oven wasn't getting as hot as the set point. Reading the old analog thermometer was too difficult as the eyes aren't what they used to be. I believe this little unit is more than accurate enough for most readings as K thermocouples are pretty accurate. It's very easy to set up and operate. It came with two wire thermocouples and two probe thermocouples. A good deal!

What would one expect for a $30-class handheld readout coming with 4 probes when a single quality probe easily cost twice that much alone?"Q.E.D.", I thought, and ordered it, knowing the odds. And I was neither dissapointed nor surprised.After arrival, my very first test: ice water - and it read -4.4 deg. C. UhOh... Okay, lets zero it, Manual describes the procedure. Well, -0.4 deg C was the closest I could get as a chain. good enough...Second test: bring the water to a boil: something like 91 deg. C. Oh? Well, did not read the barometric pressure but it still looks awkwardky off. But hey, that is nothing exact either, I shrugged it off, waiting for the next day in office.So, in office I had to do some calibration work to do and a Fluke 5502A at hand. That will show some realistic values. And it did (after zeroing it once more): please see the attached calibration sheet. Surprisingly accurate between 0 and 75 degrees C but totally out-of-spec over Full Scale.And please keep in mind: that was only the device. The dry well and the process calibrators at work were not available, so the probes are not even in the equation - but I have a bad feeling about them.So, what use are all fancy features of usability/readability on a device that does not even perform its basic task: give accurate readings. I will save myself the hassle of returning it and give it to the kids as a toy: They are not supposed to work unsupervised with temperatures outside the accurate range.At the end of the day: cheap toy, unusable otherwise.Recommendation: STAY CLEAR, DO NOT BUY!

Acura te readings of temp

I’ve had this for several months now. Works great. Dual temperature probs, with differential display. Also bought a pack of strong rare earth magnets about a size is a dollar coin with double sided tape. Now hands free.

Tried using the thermocouple to measure the temperature of a liquid being heated. Due to physical properties I could observe, I knew the mixture was between 300 and 350F. The thermocouple said the temp was 450. My IR gun reported 335…. Not Good. Not good at all…

The unit is obviously not factory calibrated. My ice water cannot be -4C (unless I missed a physics class in the past). Good thing it has the adj function. I dialed in a +5C adjustment, and it seems to work fine. Both channels read close but not the same (.2C different). Wish the adj function is more finer, and not 1 degree increment. Works good so far.

I was looking for an instant read thermometer, BBQ style. I came across this one as it offers interchangeable probes, can read 2 different probes at the same time, has a backlit, convinced me to buy. Very happy with the purchase.I have used it to adjust the offset of my PID controlled espresso machine temperature. I hope I'll be using it for many years for different applications.

Zu meiner Überraschung funktioniert das Thermometer bisher gut im Gegensatz zum "roten Gerät", welches hier unter zahlreichen Namen angeboten wird und welches ich nach Problemen zurückgeben musste.Selbst mit den mitgelieferten Sensoren habe ich höchstens 1°C Abweichung, zudem zeigen beide denselben Wert an. Das mag aber eine glückliche Ausnahme ein. Verglichen habe ich mit einem Infrarot-Fieberthermometer.Das Gerät ist angenehm kompakt und gut ausgestattet mit Data Hold, Minimum, Maximum, Durchschnitt, Differenz, Offset-Korrektur und Beleuchtung. Sogar ein Fensterdiskriminator ist vorhanden. Das Gerät bleibt dabei leider stumm, stattdessen färbt sich bei Verlassen des eingestellten Bereichs die blaue Hintergrundbeleuchtung rot.- Sinnlose Abdeckung der Anschlüsse- Sehr stramme Buchsen- Offset-Korrektur nur in 1°C-Schritten möglich- Schrottbatterien beiliegend+ 4 Sensoren enthalten+ inklusive Tasche+ (Dauer-)Licht schaltbar+ intuitive BedienungEin Rezensent beklagte minderwertige Verarbeitung, ich kann das nicht bestätigen. Auch bei starkem Druck bleibt das Gehäuse stabil und knarzt nicht. Das Abdeck"glas" klebt zuverlässig und blasig wird es schon gar nicht: beim Rezensenten löste sich lediglich die überflüssige Schutzfolie darauf, die nicht als Dauerlösung gedacht ist.Ich halte dieses Gerät für das beste unter den Billigsten. Der Wunsch nach mehr kam bisher nicht auf.
