When a commercial machine went down, I got the 05 to finish gym bags.PROS: Great for beginners—tech support starts immediately, and I sewed my first sample using only what came in the box. It runs .dst files, has helpful videos, and a Trace feature for sizing designs.CONS: Hoop sizes are small and thin. The arm limits bulky items like gym bags. Tension needed adjusting, but videos helped.Overall, a solid beginner machine, but I wish I’d bought the 06 instead. Practice, watch videos, and be patient!

Buying the Poolin 5 was the best decision I’ve made this year! I have never embroidered before & was hesitant at 1st but not only is the machine very user friendly, it also comes with 24/7 support (which I must say I use several times a week as I’m trying to learn)!! Highly recommend!

As someone new to embroidery, I was a bit hesitant at first, but this machine has been a game-changer.The setup was straightforward, and the machine runs smoothly with clear instructions. When I had a minor question about the machine’s software, I contacted their support team, and they responded quickly and thoroughly. They even followed up to make sure I was satisfied with the solution, which is rare these days. Like any new machine it takes a but if a learning curve. For example, I embroidered like 8 different things before I realized I’d had it thread wrong. This of course caused it to continuously jam the bobbin, but that was merely user error and easy to fix. That being said, I purchased this hoping to make sweaters for my friends, and it is performing incredibly! It’s not much bigger than my regular sewing machine, which is nice. It’s super easy to thread and change the bobbin (once you follow the instructions correctly haha) and the bobbin filling is a breeze! It’s also really great that I can just set it to go, and read a book while it works.I will say one thing I wasn’t expecting was the need to purchase digitizing software to input my own designs. This took some researching to find one that would work. Inkscape and inkstitch are free and can be downloaded on both Mac and pc. You need both to just directly convert a photo. You will also need a file converter to make the image into an SVG file. I ended up using a program called embroideryware which is only available for PC, and takes a huge learning curve, but gives you a lot of control with your design and is the most affordable option I could find costing roughly $120. It also has great training videos in it that will help you understand how to use the software.Anyways, TLDR: machine is great, need digitizing software for importing your own designs.

Easy to use right out of the box & amazing customer service with prompt reply. I originally looked into having someone make custom embroidery with my designs, but this machine made it easy to do myself! The final product looked much better than professional samples I ordered elsewhere.

Woo! This machine is amazing! I love it! For sure I will for sure buy an EOC06 or another EOC05 when I get the chance.So far, the machine comes with everything you need to start embroidering. I have had a few technical issues, but they have been very easy to resolve.The after-sales service has also been amazing. They have contacted me to let me know that they can help me with whatever I need.I will keep playing with my new toy and will let you know when I have new good things to say about the machine :)

Did NOT work. I ended up sending it back and not replacing it. Wasted 40+ hours trying to get anything at all to work, even after consulting videos and tutorials nothing.

I’m a quilter and wanted to be able to personalize a quilt or create custom labels without breaking the bank. Being new to embroidery, I watched/read a lot of reviews before deciding to give the EOC05 a try. Not only was the price right, I liked that it came with everything you would need to get started immediately. As with anything there is a learning curve but thanks to the excellent customer service, I’m embroidering away. I have realized that if I want to really customize my designs I will eventually need a digitizing software but that’s true of every embroidery machine. So in summary… won’t break the bank, has everything you need to get started, excellent customer service, stitching looks good and the machine works great so far!
