I purchased this dongle for my Apple CarPlay on my Honda CRV Sport Hybrid 2023 and it works like it should. It connects automatically once set up. The only minor complaint that I have about this dongle is that on the startup display it shows it as an android device and not an Apple CarPlay device. Also every time it connects during the start up process it makes an annoying "swoosh" sound and it shows a brief video clip of what the device can be used for as if you didn't already know once you purchased it. It's a minor disconvenience every time it starts up and I always make sure the volume on my Honda CRV audio is all the way down at start up so that I don't have to hear that "swoosh" sound. Aside from that it works as it should and its worth the price I paid for it.

I really really wanted to love this product. Unfortunately that's just not the case...Recently I was in a car wreck and totaled my Jeep. My rental car spoiled me with wireless Android Auto. When I got my new vehicle, it has Android Auto, but not wireless.I was looking around and found this unit. Love the fact that it had multiple aspects that standard Android auto didn't along with the fact that it was completely wireless from my phone.A few days in and I'm realizing that over half of the content on Netflix is not playable. I am completely 100% unable to cast anything to this unit. Phone calls get mixed up if you were not an Android auto... The whole thing is just a sour nightmare.Before anybody questions my internet connection, this is being tested while about 15 ft away from my gigabit home network.Tried contacting seller a few times... no reply. now not only are the features not working... the unit is rebooting over and over - and still no way to contact them.

The Android Auto works great in my car. No stuttering or freezing up. Very easy to setup and automatically connects every time. It has a customizable boot animation if you're into that sort of thing.Connecting to a TV is super simple and is so nice for traveling. Instead of having to bring my laptop to watch my shows, I can just stick this on the hotel TV and watch. It has a usb port for a mouse and has apps, including VLC.This little box is pretty magic.

I have this in my Mazda6 with Android Auto. Mazda locks out the touch screen capabilities when the car is moving so this does limit the functionality. Basically I have to be stopped to make my choice of options on what I want to watch or listen before I start driving. It's not the devices fault though. I hotspot through my Samsung phone and so far I've watched Netflix and it works pretty well. A basic wireless Android adapter runs around $55. I have not decided if the additional $100 is worth it to watch videos. It's advertised as having a 1year warranty so we will see about longevity. There is a definite "cool" factor to it but having the screen on while driving is a big distraction (and illegal in most states). It seems to have the same functions as units costing much more. You have 30 days to decide if you want to keep it. I'd say this is worth a chance.
