I bout this to replace my Aramaic that broke. This works great. I recommend a dead cat for outdoor use though

Not working as expected
The recording quality on iPhone was merely the same with or without this mic. They hyped or I overexpected…anyway this mic won’t work as I expected through the product features.

An excellent enhancement!
A terrific little mic that greatly enhances the ability of the Merlin app to pick up and identify bird song. Produces decent recordings as well. Easy to use. Recommend using a rubber and in the wind screen because you will lose it and an animal will eat it and fall ill. A little stick on Velcro tab would be useful. Also a dead cat version.

Crisp sound quality, great for actors or content creators
Gives a nice sound quality for speaking. I haven't tried it for singing but it would be great for anyone wanting to record dialogue for sure. Really easy to use with the iPhone 10 Pro. I haven't had it long so I can't speak to the durability yet.

Did not work
Microphone for iPhone didn’t work no sound recorded even if microphone was less than a foot from sound source, great size and a great idea for a product but it has to work to be of any use

Compact, easy to use, worse audio quality
I have been looking for an external mic to help with my YouTube videos while using my iPhone to record. While this microphone is compact, easy to hookup and use, I was not impressed with the audio quality compared to the internal microphone on the iPhone. I know other reviewers have given this mic some great reviews, but for some reason I am not getting the same quality of sound they seem to be getting. If you are looking for a compact external mic that is just plug and play, this is one of the few out there to get. So know the audio quality might be hit or miss.

Super easy to use
The media could not be loaded. All you have to do is plug this in and aim it at the direction you want. Super easy and gives you a little better quality than the iphone. I really like the fact that it fits while I still have my otterbox defender case. First time, I even have a few chargers that will not fit because the end is so big. Great job on the design.It comes with a case, that is really big but makes it to where you could store other things like a charging cable and power brick. The downside to a mic like this is you cannot listen while you record. Especially on the newer devices that do not have a headphone port. You sort of have to test it out to see what it sounds like. If you are using something other than the built in camera app, you can have a little more control over the sound, like adjusting the gain and actually see a meter to know whether or not you are peaking.I am giving 4 stars because a few times I seemed to have to unplug it and plug it back in. Was getting some weird artifacts in the recording. This could be from a number of things like wireless, bluetooth, etc.

Major sound improvement
I was skeptical at first, but the difference between using this mini microphone, and not using one at all is HUGE!You can angle it towards you and it is pretty accurate in picking up your sound. I highly recommend this.
