Dangerous
I have used ear candles for over 20 years, I purchased these as my stock was getting low and I like to make sure I have enough stock in hand. I also thought it would be novel to have different colours and fragrances for my clients to select from but they have no fragrance at all. I have used three sets of these and I find them quite dangerous.I don’t know what is used as the coating, but when it breaks off (which is quite usual for ear candles) it stays very hot. Today when I was using them I didn’t manage to catch the break off and it burned my client, although not severely it just should not have happened.Also with other candles the burn time is usually around 10-15 mins where these burn very fast, about 5-6 minutes.I will not be purchasing these again and the remainder of the stock will be going into the rubbish bin.If you do use these as they are much cheaper, please be careful and cover the entire face/neck of your client.
