Accuracy and easy to use and clean
It does what it's intended. I used DI water to calibrate the refractometer then used factory-made 50/50 antifreeze/coolant to check for accuracy and it was spot on, so I'm happy.

Worked well for both antifreeze and battery acid.
Tested by diluting some antifreeze and it was very accurate. Came already adjusted for setting baseline with distilled water. Very pleased with accuracy and purcase.

Helps me to properly dilute windshield fluid.
BOTTOM LINE:1. I recommend this CYCLOPS INSTRUMENTS refractometer.2. The current price of $25 is a bit high.LIKES:- I have never used on windshield washer fluid before. Eye opening to say the least. I've learned a lot using it.- I have the ability to use on other auto fluids one of these days.DISLIKES:- None.

Works
Works as it should. If never heard of this tool changing the coolant in my f-250 and ford recommended one so I thought I would try this one and it seems to work great and easy to read.

Follow instructions to make sure it’s calibrated right and mine worked perfectly.
Took a couple of test runs but worked great.

Easy to use, works well, accurate
Used this to test both windshield fluid freeze point and coolant concentration, easy to calibrate using regular distilled water. Make sure the fluid is roughly the same temperature as the device, as temperature can throw off measurements slightly. Compared the reading from this to that of my coolant tester and found it to be identical in range but unable to verify pinpoint accuracy. I have yet to use this for battery acid, but can't imagine it would be any less accurate. If you want a decent refractometer for a decent price, this is one you want to pick up

Not bad with a few considerations
I've used this a few times, mostly on coolant, and it seems to be pretty accurate when compared to other methods. It took a bit to calibrate it the first time but once you do it once, it's easy. The only drawback is that there is no way to illuminate the readings without natural light coming in. It would be nice if it were LED lit for low light situations but other than that, a nice tool to have in your collection.
