This is an incredible license plate camera for the price. I could see how some have difficulty setting up, all IP cameras have a learning curve, but this one is easier than most and instructions are by far clearer, then any of the other license plate cameras on the market. We have 3 gates in our subdivision, have used more expensive Hikvision LPC's in the past, the Amcrest LPC is a definite upgrade and I didn't need to know Mandarin, to understand the instruction manual. AI features of the Amcrest LPC , handle going from light to darkness automatically, not aware of other cameras that handle dusk and dawn better. You can also tell by mounting brackets and overall feel, just a higher-quality product. I can't wait for the other 2 older LPC cameras to go out, where I can replace them with Amcrest LPC's.

Doesn’t work in the nighttime. Even in the daytime, it sometimes doesn’t work. Besides, the cloud service is very bad, because it always shows the data is loading and the picture/recording never shows up. Very disappointed about this brand and it’s service.

This camera is a lot bigger than I have expected it does work great it's just slightly bulky and heavy I had to use some Hefty screws to get it to stay the image quality is super clear

Wont write to an FTP server. Settings wont stay after reboot. Amcrest Tech Support was good to work with but this is a big flaw in my opinion.

The media could not be loaded.  This is a big camera that is hard to miss. Its attached to a mount via a pipe and includes several cables to give you the mostoptions.I am excited to set this up at home and try and integrate this it into several control systems that I run at home. Will update soon after I have.So far though I like this and know it will work best for those people who want visitors to know there is a camera there.

This is such an excellent camera. I ordered it to add to the security system at my office hoping to keep an eye on the coming and going of delivery vehicles, etc. There are definitely more versatile cameras but for the task at hand it's without peer. I've already got a number of Amcrest products and I'm well aware of their quality. This is just another level, however, and if you want to check out licenses plates and other car details it can't be beat.Setup was very easy with the Amcrest View mobile app. Assuming you've got some aptitude with tools and setting up systems you'll have no problem. All of the usual Amcrest functionality is there--cloud video storage, push alerts, zone detection, etc. The detail that you can get on vehicles is amazing--license plate, vehicle type, color, driver, front seat passenger, etc. The product description says it has a vehicle recognition rate of just over 95% but in my experience it has been almost foolproof. If you want a 'general use' camera this probably won't cut it but for the specific use case it's as good as it gets. Highly recommended!

This camera is far beyond anything I've ever tried in the past. The quality is super crisp, it's POE so install is simple, and it has license plate recognition tech built in. I already have other Amcrest cameras, so setup with the app was straightforward.I have signed up to share my security video with our local police if something comes up and this camera is a great addition. I hope it helps them with something at some point.

The video/picture quality from this is outstanding.I'm sorry I can't speak to all the specs, because I don't really understand them-but I can say this is one hellofa fantastic security camera.Worth every penny for peace of mind.
