This lock does a great job.Rather than having a screw hold the lock in place there is a clip. I struggled to install the clip by hand so used a pair of water-pump pliers to do the job for me. I adjusted the pliers over the bend in the slide clip and the barrel of the lock and it went in nicely.The cam that locks the door can be put on in any of four positions under the ¼ turn lock. I recommend saving the cam from the old lock and using it for the new one. (The mail-lady took my old lock off and took it with her.)The cam was right except for the length which was a bit too long. I had to grind about 1/16th off to make it work. For me it was easier to do that then chase the mail-lady!

Great fit and came with plenty of locking arms at different length to accommodate different setups.

I got this to replace the lock on my apartment mailbox after some mail went missing. It's good enough. The key sticks and you have to jiggle it a bit, which is weird for a factory cut key, but for $7 what do you expect? It comes with an assortment of paddles to fit different applications. All in all I am satisfied and would recommend/buy again. I gave it stars off for low end fit and finish, but it's at a low end price point so that is reasonable.

i ordered to replace a siezed mailbox lock. none of the included cams matched my old lock, so i just switched the cam from the old lock to this replacement, and it was installed and working in no time. so far, it's performed flawlessly - i will update this review if there are changes over time.

This is a high quality lock with reasonable price. It fit my old mail box slot that accept generic size lock. It doesn't look clear from the picture but it did fit perfectly into a narrower vertical side slot. The lock is installed with a side clamp which is a bit tight to push in but feel very secured. Key turns and remove nicely. It didn't feel any struggle at all. A small indentation guides that insertion of the key. I did have to use the old side arm (pin) because none of the ones fit my old mail box. I imagine this situation happen to others.

Impressed with the product. Sturdy and easy to install. Great for the price! Would recommend.

Was having a lot of problems with my roadside mailbox lock always getting jammed and hard to turn. This is the third lock I've tried. Look like it will be the last. Took just a couple minutes to install. Key inserts and turns incredibly smoothly. The cover keeps the dirt and salt out of the locking mechanism. Plus a great price.

I bought this as a replacement for the original lock that had been broken by a mail thief. The cams included weren't a good fit, but I just used the one from the old lock with no problem. It is significantly stronger than the original lock. I even purchased two more of these for my neighbors.
