WORKS PERFECT

This room box will be perfect for the miniature bedroom scene I'm making. I'd been looking for the perfect display box and thus is it. The wood is nice and smooth with a slide acrylic window for viewing. I'm very happy with this wood display box and will buy another one soon.

The media could not be loaded. I was looking for a shadow box frame for the wedding Lego set for my brother as a gift and glad to have came across this one on Amazon. The measurements turned out to be perfect for my project. The wood looks nice as is but I may consider staining it for a more aesthetic look. The item was packaged with care and arrived without any damages, thanks seller!!

This small room box is ideal for the motif I was planning to build... And it has a slightly different look than most of these boxes. Plus the side-sliding plastic front makes it easier to access the interior.

The entire reason I wanted this product was to have the acrylic front. I'd say this is a "you get what you pay for" moment, but at the same time - this comes disassembled and unfinished, given the price I actually DON'T think it's reasonable to expect such corner cutting.Here's the issue: the acrylic front comes with a plastic protective sheet on both sides, as you'd expect with acrylic (it ships that way to keep it from getting scratched before it reaches you). The issue is, the wooden component on the acrylic panel that you use to slide it into place is glued into place *over the plastic sheets*. So when you pull the protective sheets off, remnants remain along the glue line at the bottom on both sides.I've already taken tweezers to the edge to try to delicately remove the plastic as much as possible, but remnants remain - maybe that's not going to be offputting to everyone, but it just looks a little less polished. Maybe a razor blade will get it more cleanly...but when I try that, I'll risk scratching the acrylic.They definitely should be shipping this with the protective cover, don't get me wrong, but being unable to fully and cleanly remove it from the panel detracts a lot. If I find a solution or workaround or change my mind on this product, I'll certainly update the review to be more favorable, but as of right now I'm just angry and upset that the craft project I've been planning out for a few weeks isn't going to look the way I want and it's because the manufacturer didn't care about the most important part: how the front will look!

Great for small items.

I have used smaller versions of these to make found object shadow boxes. They can be painted, stained or woodburned. The wood is unfinished pine and only needs a little touch up sanding to smooth the edges. The acrylic sliding panel fits well. I would not recommend using these for storage since the acrylic will scratch, but they make a nice decorative display. Useful for making room boxes if you are into miniatures.
