Product description says 300ah’s length is 20.6 inches. Does 20.6 include the handle(used to lift the battery)?

Not sure if the handles are on the ends or over the top. So can't give you a definitive answer.

Yes. You can do that to obtain an output voltage and current that you want out of multiple batteries that you can place more conveniently in the space you have available. BUT - Be sure you get the cable rating, the battery polarities and the connections correct if you are going to do that or it will be better to just buy the voltage and current rating you need in a single battery.
