Great for draining a dug well. Worked with 1.25" hose - very tight fit. Manual says 1.5". Wish they'd mentioned that in the listing. Also wish they mentioned an o-ring on the elbow fitting, or I'd have brought o-ring grease to camp (where the well is). Surprisingly large flow at 12-15' of head. If you're looking at renting a gas powered trash pump to drain a dug well and have 115VAC available, consider this...

We ordered this to try and get our pool water off the pool cover before we opened the pool. We were surprised at how easy it was and how well it worked. It pumped out the water quickly with little effort on our part. great product

I used this 1/2 hp to pump out the leftover water in the deep center of my pool. I had to tape up the float switch. If not it kept shutting off the pump. Once the switch was on it did a good job pumping out the water.

This pump has very good flow and runs quiet. Adapters are sufficient. Power cord length is a plus. Wished it had a stainer around the bottom outside perimeter.

I ran a hose line from upstairs to the basement through the floor. This makes water changes so much easier for a 125gal tank. Takes less than 20 min now to do a 20% water change. This pump brings the mixed saltwater in the basement, back up to the tank without a huge pressure forcing water into the system. Very happy with the purchase.

This pump worked perfectly for our hot tub water change out. Instead of taking 2 hours, which is what it took to drain 600 gallons last time, it drained the tub in less than 15 minutes!

Pump broke, Their customer service was outstanding. Sent a new one to replace it.
