Mike Lawrence's Workbook on the Two Over One System Paperback – March 16, 2013

Mike is a great author. There is not many books on 2/1 but this one covers it

Great info for Bridge players, now if my partner and I can remember and communicate all the info.

I generally adore everything Mike Lawrence does, but this book is for people who already use Two Over One. It is not for a beginner and I was very disappointed that it was not labeled as so.

Having only played sayc before I picked this book, I found this book really useful for learning about the intricacies of 2/1 and helping me transition into the modern system that is 2/1.If you want to learn about 2/1, i think this is the best you can get. Thanks Mike.

PRACTICE WONDERFUL, BUT THE BOOK TRULY NEEDS TO BE UPDATED. WRITTTEN IN 1987 ~ CONVENTIONS AND RULES HAVE CHANGED IN OVER TWNEY YEARS. LAWRENCE'S WRITING IS EASY TO READ!

Confusing book because he starts his discussion from the point of view of a (former?) four card major player . He is obviously a bridge scholar but I , as a very intermediate player, had great difficulty following his reasoning. Perhaps in a few years I will be able to appreciate whT he had to say. However I found the Thurston book on two over one well written and easy to understand .

I especially liked the discussions explaining the bidding for Lawrence style and Hardy style of Two Over One.I strongly recommend this book to duplicate partners working out the details of their bidding, using Two Over One.

It improved my communication with partner overnight. Well worth money. Only drawback is the layout. The chapters run together which is a little unusual. Otherwise it is very helpful,

Content of book is very good. So in terms of learning new system suits my purpose.I would recommend it to others.I have had opportunity of seeing another book written later and comparing the two the layout of information was better with the other book. Irrespective of this I am very happy with the book.

This book is excellent for learning 2 over 1.Well structured and easy to follow with sample hands.

If you play 2/1 then this is nearly essential. One of the greatest players of all time explains how to avoid some of the common traps that people fall into. Lawrence is that rare combination of a great player who can also write. Buy this!
