I purchased these little boxes for storing cindinents like salt, and maybe other things, to use during living history camping. The simple construction means they can be used for nearly any time period. (I know they are not historically accurate, but they'll work...certainly at a distance.)I treated 3 (see picture) with food grade mineral oil, which protects and beautifies the wood. The wood is not exceptionally high quality, but again, they work for what I need, and I couldn't be more please. Reasonably priced and fast shipping. Just perfect.
