We purchased a Dyson fan last year under the misguided notion that it would, in fact, “cool the air around you”. It does not cool the air at all, it is a fan, a pretty stylish one, but a fan and that is all. This year, I purchased this unit and I wish I had bought two of these in the first place instead of the Dyson!I have, so far, only used the air cooling function on it and it really does bring down the temperature of the room. Yes, it is a little noisy while it is on, but honestly, I can tolerate a little noise when it’s cooling me down. The four stars were given as attaching it to a window kit can be a little bit of a faff, as the hose can come loose and the attachment can slide out of the back of the unit(a very minor complaint, but when you’re very hot, everything is ten times more irritating!!).You absolutely need a window kit with this one, you will need to purchase a universal one. Most of these units seem to be designed more for the EU market with sliding windows but you can easily find a reasonably priced one here at Amazon.

Ok ok… so yes we live in Britain and let’s face it we’re not overly hot usually, but this honestly comes in so handy especially with the last week of really good hot weather this has honestly been a life saver!Firstly item arrived really well packaged and I was surprised at how much the item weighed, never having had one before I wasn’t sure what to expect although I don’t think the Amazon driver expected it to be so heavy either haha!Easy to unpack, however tip would be to cut the straps on the base and then lift the outer cardboard up so you’re not having to lift the item itself. The item had been stood for more than 24 hours before I unpacked and having never had one before I read the instructions first to see and make sure I was doing it right.Plugged in and connected the hose to the separate parts and then dangled out of the window as it needs to be able to vent warm air back out of the house. There is a window slide that comes with the kit, however that’s not really usable in my opinion for more standard uk window frames, more for those in other countries with side sliding windows.I was surprised upon switching on that the room actually became quite cool very fast which was a relief 😅. And I didn’t feel that the unit was too noisy really, however there was a slight rattle. The hose that gets connected it a reasonable length if positioning near a window, however depending on your room layout you may need to buy a longer expandable hose.When I think about this compared to a fan, this yes being more expensive but in my opinion well worth the money! You’re not just moving the warm air around the room, you’re removing it and cooling it. The adjustable heat setting allows you to cool your room down to as low as 16 degrees and also comes with a handy remote control.Overall I would happily recommend this item. So much so I’m mentioned this to a few friends too! Good investment!

Big nosie not good

The media could not be loaded. This is one heavy air con until which is on wheels so can be moved around if needed to. Also comes with a sit vent style tube kinda like the type you get with a tumble dryer (I’m no tech expert or air con expert for that matter.So simple and easy to use, even comes with a remote control some I don’t need to move to change settings etc.this does pack out the cold air as soon as it’s turned on!! Cooled down my huge 23ft living room within minutes.It’s big and bulky and there is no hiding the unit but I’m not sweaty mess and can actually get on and do things as the lounge is lovely and cool.The humming fan type noise from the unit does take a lit getting use to but now I don’t hear it at all as I’m used to it. The cable could be longer. This seems far more efficient with my electricity use than the two fans I would’ve run before using the Air-con unit.There are so many different setting with the unit sleep mode, can be locked, timers and different temperature modes just to make a few.Extremely cool product very happy with the performance and quality

This portable Air Conditioner Unit it has the conveyance of washable filters, suggested to wash them every 2 weeks.Auto defrost, this function it's very handy for the cooler rooms.Easy to move it around with the smooth movement of the wheels, I look forward to put this big guy on work on dry mode during the winter to dry the house, we have so much humidity in our house during the cold season.Clear instructions in the booklet. Easy to operate it with the remote or from the control panel. Energy class A wich is not so bad.Nice and fresh air to get us through the hot days and less humidity during the cold season. Two in one, it's perfect for everyday use in any household.

I was really struggling in the attic room during summer and during last years heatwave the room reached 36 degrees at one point. I couldn’t afford to spend a fortune so I went for a lower budget air con unit and it was definitely worth it! My attic room was fully out of commission for most of the summer last year but this unit does a great job of lowering the temperature.The only thing I will say is that the remote stopped working after a week or two, I’ve changed the batteries multiple times but can’t get it to work.It’s also fairly heavy so I wouldn’t recommend if you are wanting to move it up and down stairs. The wheels make it easy to move between rooms without having to pick it up
