Once it is set up, it works great, but the setup can be a challenge
The Zoiinet Smart WiFi Plug is a versatile device that can be used to control a variety of appliances. It is easy to set up and does not require any wiring. The plug can be controlled by the Smart Life app, voice commands, or a physical remote. It also has a timer schedule feature that allows you to automate the turning on and off of your appliances. The plug has a number of pros, including:Easy to set upDoes not require any wiringCan be controlled by the Smart Life app, voice commands, or a physical remoteHas a timer schedule featureAffordableHowever, the plug also has a few cons, including:No CE/UL/ETL cert on plug, but CE Cert on Remote paddle switch. This is a safety concern.Remote requires batteryNo magnets on Switch, it snaps to its base, so most likely you will turn the plug ON/OFF as you try to snap the switch in it base. Can be slow to connect to networkScheduling is not intuitiveOverall, the Zoiinet Smart WiFi Plug is a good option for those looking for a simple and easy-to-use smart plug. However, if you are concerned about safety or want a more intuitive scheduling feature, you may want to consider other products. Here are some additional thoughts on this switch/plug: it can be slow to connect to the network and the the scheduling feature is not intuitive. However, I do my scheduling through the Google Home App.It does not have CE/UL/ETL certification, which is a safety concern for some. However, the product does have CE certification for the remote, which means that it meets certain European safety standards. The remote requires a battery, which is a minor inconvenience. However, there are some safety concerns and the scheduling feature is not intuitive. If these are important factors for you, you may want to consider other products.

Easy to install, good to have physical switch
The smart plug is a easy to install that could potentially be used to control a number of appliances. Right now, I have it plugged in directly to the main outlet and is connected to my desktop set up. Now it is easier to shut down everything after I am done with the work. For control, either the App (SmartLife) can be used, or it also comes with a physical switch which can be installed anywhere close by.The connection to the app is super-easy and was quick. All the instructions were clearly written on the instruction manual. First the physical switch and the plug have to be connected and then connection to the app should be made. The remote will work on a battery so might need replacing every once in a while, but I am pretty sure it will last a long time. I have not tried integrating with the Alexa, but I think it should be seamless.

Great product but lacks certifications
Pros:-Connects to SmartLife app easily-Pairs smoothly to remote paddle switch-Remote Switch comes with custom face plate.-Remote has direct wireless connection to the plug and there is basically no delay.Cons:-It doesn’t go over to SmartThings via the SmartLife integration-No CE/UL/ETL cert on plug, but CE Cert on Remote paddle switch. This is a safety concern.-Remote requires battery-No magnets on Switch, it snaps to its base, so most likely you will turn the plug ON/OFF as you try to snap the switch in it base.-Remote is not visible in the SmartLife app.

Works with Smart Life app a bonus - Slow to connect to network
I like the switch and dislike it at the same time. It gives me what I want with having a physical switch for a set of lights but connecting it was a bit of a pain. It kept disconnecting at first and paring the switch was also a pain. Works good once all connected though. Note, you only have about 20 feet of distance from plug to the remote/switch before things start to go down hill.

Works fine once you figure out how to set it up
The appeal of this when I got it was the dual operations it supports: it’s a smart switch so you can control it remotely via app and also set up a schedule for it. And, it has a simple physical toggle switch that you can use when you want to turn on or off the plug.As such I have this set up for a bedroom light. The light goes on automatically around dusk and then when I’m about to nod off later I can just hit the switch and shut off the light at whatever time that is. You set up a schedule using the Smart Life app.The challenge with these devices though is the setup and more specifically the directions that came with it. The directions were only marginally useful and for anyone not generally techie enough to just figure things out, I imagine plenty would just give up.I’ll elaborate a bit … for ‘first pairing’ with the toggle switch, the directions don’t make it clear at all that you have to actually plug the thing in first. Yeah, don’t forget to do that. Then, there are two QR codes for apps so it’s not apparent what app you should actually use to set this up. I just tried Smart Life on the iPhone. The QR code doesn’t take you to the app store though. It takes you to some URL and ‘download’ didn’t do anything for me. I found it in the app store though. But there are multiple Smart Life apps. I apparently guessed wisely.Once you have the app installed, you need to make sure your phone is on the right 2.5ghz network (mine wasn’t) or things don’t set up right. Once switched, I kinda just followed my nose (and not the directions, which didn’t match the app). Eventually, connection success and then schedule setup. I have yet to see how to schedule when the plug shuts off. You can schedule it to turn on, but … turning off? I just use the switch. Maybe I’ll find it in time. I do appreciate you can set it up based on the time of sunset.Update: I discovered that to automatically turn it off you have to add an additional schedule. So two schedules: one to turn it on, one to turn it off. Not that intuitive and different than Kasa plugs. And speaking of Kasa, that system was easier to set up and to use with the app.
