Good Quality Finish, Quick to paint a Large Room
I bought this because being disabled I don't have the energy for long slow decorating. I use this primarily instead of cutting in, it works well going round light switches, door and window frames and along skirting boards. It struggled a bit on internal corners but if like me you are doing a magnolia over magnolia freshen up then it isn't too much of a problem and to be honest unless you were painting a very different colour over the top of a very different colour it wouldn't prove too much of an issue.I did make the mistake early on of overloading it, it actually works better with slightly less paint rather than slightly more. We painted our large and awkward L shaped living room in just a day, using this and we gave it a thorough three coats at that.Clean up was also really easy as everything comes apart and I just rinsed the whole lot off in the kitchen sink. Removing the pads themselves can be a tad tricky on occasion because they are a very snug fit, but even with cold water numbed hands I still managed to remove them, and my hands are quite weak.I really like the finish it gives, its very smooth and quite similar to the effect a roller gives. There was some slight shedding of fluff from the paint pads when I first took them out but a quick rub with my hand removed the loose particles easily and I didn't notice any getting stuck in the paint. All in all I will be using this item again and again around our home as we continue to work our way through, decorating each room as we go.

Worth it, even with it's faults
There were mixed reviews for this item and I can see why. If you are going to use it with a pole then it wil be a nightmare as there is nothing stopping it spinning round. But if you want to use it by hand it really does a good job. We had only a couple of incidents with the pads falling out and that was on the second use. We bought spare pads so we had one for each colour which we were glad we did. They washed out nicely in between the two coats. It saved a lot of effort although it didn't get close enough to the ceiling to do the edge and cover the colour underneath so I had to edge by hand. But still something I would definitely use again even if just to do the bulk of the middle of the wall.

Useless product !
It took almost 4 weeks to arrive, when opened very cheap and flimsy materials used. 1 small pad and 1 bigger one. Both were useless. Whenever I tried to clean one in cold water it fell apart. At almost £28.00 no value at all. Do yourself a favour buy the paint pad pro instead, which is what I had to do to finish the job.

Not great
This is an odd product. In theory it sounds fantastic, paint a whole room in an hour, simply sweep it along the edges for a near straight edge with no errors and no need for masking tape. However, in practice it is slightly less useful. The tray is cheap plastic and the roller to load the paint pad from keeps dropping from its holding points. The pad seems to dump a lot of paint first of all then you need to sort of spread it around, but if you're not careful you end up with a load where you lift it off the wall. It doesn't paint evenly. When you run it along the edge, yes you get a lovely straight line, fantastic! But just not all the way up to the edge. So for example I'm painting cream over purple and I have a purple line along my skirting board and ceiling, which requires me to get a paintbrush to touch up the edges anyway. So all in all, I'll be using a traditional roller next time.

Easy DIY
Having had a similar type of product many years ago I was very happy to try the point and paint.I found it easy to use and time saving with no splashing that you get from rollers. Its easy to clean and paint goes a long way you do have to thin the paint slightly.Easy to use and with the socket for painting higher areas it avoids the need for steps or ladders overall a great DIY tool. The design makes it easier to get into corners which is a great improvement from the paint pad that I have had for over twenty years and is still useable. With care I can see the point and paint lasting just as long.

Good idea - Flawed on use!
Great for quick, almost mess free painting - a one use wonder though, when I tried to put new pads on they didn't fit..which was a pain as the pads breakdown after a while.I bought 2 boxes (one on amazon one from Studio 24) and despite them looking identical and saying they are the "JML" version the handles don't work on each other nor did the pads fit and they were made by different companies so be warned if you buy more than one!I only did a medium sized room, 3 walls with multiple coats. I used 2 big and 2 small pads as the foam did break up after first coat, the smaller pads are sturdier but it will take you forever to paint a room - the big pads were great for coverage when I managed to keep them on!I would use again if I could get them cheap as they were quicker and less messy than a roller.

Brilliant, fast and easy
Was a bit sceptical but I got my hallway painted so quickly I was amazed. I haven't done a ceiling yet, that's the next project. I didn't use a pole so can't comment. Only drawback was cleaning and rinsing paint but I usually struggle with that aspect. Highly recommend this product.

Five Stars
Love these, easy to use, no mess, good coverage. Will never use a roller again. Not sure why everyone is giving such bad reviews. Used this lots of times over a few years, never needed to use a dust sheet to protect the floor. Each pad only does one room..... Just buy replacements. Takes longer than an hour, and you will still need to cut in with a brush to get a clean edge finish, but definitely worth it for the convenience.
