Very impressed!
Out of the box this thing rips. I’ve been into hobby grade RC for over 10years and this little ripper is amazing for the price. It’s pretty quick and planted. It’s a lot heavier than it looks. Full metal chassis. Still has decent ground clearance for bumps and stuff. The tires are okay. All metal drivetrain is sick! Seems decently upgradable too. The gyro is meh but it does work. Lights are cool too. Overall it’s a SOLID built truck and worth the money.

Super Fast Great value
Just getting into RC, or back after a while? This is a great value, for what you get it’s insane. Made very well, I would say you could bash this thing but not very hard. The drift tires work great over a lot of surfaces, garage floor type floors to be ideal. Tires are okay, had a hard time finding upgrades in this scale or The OEM replacements, maybe they are easier to find now not sure. Bought this last October. If you drift the rubber tires, they won’t last. Significant loss of rubber after first time trying, use the provided drift tires and preserve the rubber ones. Tools are included to change out wheels with ease. Metal driveshafts for added durability, double wishbone suspension front and rear. adjustable coil over shocks. Comes with a plastic cover inside the shell to cover the electronics from dust and debri, it works decently and manages to keep most large debri out. Not a fan of the police lights myself but I liked the other lights, so I unscrewed them off, covered them with electrical tape and bam no more police lights. Flys on 2s, absolutely wild on 3s. It’s so close I feel to hobby grade RC quality, especially for this price it’s a great value for the amount you get, speed, durability and most importantly the smile it puts on your face. I am looking forward to purchasing the buggy Hypergo makes as well. Batteries are decent, they’ll get you going. Good run time. Handling is very good, with the added gyro you can control how much you drift around or don’t. Age range I feel 12 and up, I wouldn’t give this to younger kid. Has some real speed in the brushless motor( no brushes in the motor equals less friction cooler temps and higher speeds) easy to set up and use, very basic transmitter. It works and that’s what matters.

Fast, Fun and pretty durable
UPDATE: 2 weeks later:Because this truck rides so low, you need to be carefulk where you run it. Tonight I tried to go up a driveway and stopped hard as driveway had a small lip. The front bumper assembley underpart is plastic, not metal like the rest of undercarriage and this is the part that gets hit. It broke into pieces, but truck still runs fine. To replace bumper seems easy, but it was difficult to find one. I had to order straight from China and hopefully will get it in two weeks. Finding certain parts can be tough. Also while changing wheels, I lost a plastic nut that holds a pin in hub area and had to order an aftermarket, generic brand as Hyper-Go has none for sale. It's great they show part numbers and exploded view of car in manual, but it would be great if a person could actually buy the parts easily, thus the reason for a star deduction to 4 stars.I am still new to RC cars. I have another brand for more than double the price and have alot of fun with it on a dirt track. It is a 1/10 scale which is quite a bit bigger than this Hyper Go truck. My wife was interested in RC cars since I got the big one and so I bought this Hyper Go truck and she is super happy. I told my son-in-law about it and he said he has one and a few of his friends do too. They do drift racing for fun with each other and love the trucks. I knew he had a small RC truck but didn't know it was this particular one.My wife tried it at night and the lights, although a novelty, actually work very well. They are very bright, but my wife still found a curb. Though she did not hit at high speed, it took a small chip off the body cover in the front, thus my 4 star rating on durability. I was surprised that such a little hit was able to damage the body cover, though it can be easily replaced. (In comparison, my larger car has been upside down many times and still looks great. The body cover seems to be a heavier duty plastic on it).As far as actually running the truck on the 2S battery that it comes with, this truck is fast. Being a smaller scale, the speed and quickness looks much faster. I plucked in a 3S battery and this thing takes off. Makes it harder to control though due to the size of the truck, but it's alot of fun. For most, the 2S battery will work great but being a guy, I just wanted to try more power.Drifting with this truck is a blast. It drifts fantastically and wish I could find drift wheels for my larger RC. I think it's the reason why people first buy this. I know it was my reason. The hard plastic wheels lets this truck slide very easily but still able to grip enough to get going. My wife loves to try to drift too but she just loves sliding it everywhere. The rubber wheels are both knobby style but set one seems to be for on and off road. The other has deeper knobs for more off road racing/bashing. You can slide a bit with the street rubber wheels, but not the same as the hard plastic ones. Haven't tried the deeper knobby wheels yet.I enjoyed this little truck so much that I had to buy one for myself. The Good: As far as bang for the buck, you'd be hard pressed to find a better deal, especially when Amazon puts in on sale. You get the truck, 2 batteries and 3 sets of wheels and some extra parts. The only thing you need to add is 2AA batteries for the remote. The lights as I stated earlier are a novelty but work surprisingly well. The turn signal effect is also pretty cool as they work accordingly in relation to you turning. Besides for the body cover, the truck seems really durable, but I have not jumped and tested this aspect of it. For me, it is more of a road truck as it is so low to the ground. The 2S batteries it comes with is all you really need. The optional 3S batteries are great for speed, but not really needed and almost overkill for this truck. The controller is a basic controller but responds well an have not had any issues with it. Overall the truck handles very well, quick and hopefully will last. Being low to the ground, it is quite stable for quick and harder/faster turns as it stays upright. The car is heavy for its size so between the weight, low center of gravity, it can handle the turns at a good speed. The Not So Good: A low point is the height of this truck. It is super low to the ground and little street stones that are naturally found in the road, this truck finds. It does not affect the driving and handling, but the front part of body cover is a little chewed up. These little stones also find a way to get into the motor area. I think because I had road tires on it and the rocks spit up into the fenders and land on the inside. I did not use the inner plastic cover but will now after seeing the stones inside. I didn't even see the stones until I flipped truck upside down and many fell out. No components got hit with them, but the potential is there, so I will use the cover as it will protect components. The included knobby sets of wheels is great, but not sure where to use them as the truck is very low and can't really see using it off road much. I've seen the videos they show, but they don't show the truck afterwards. I plan to try it on a dirt track near me to see if it works or not.Having to disconnect and reconnect lights when you open the truck to add/replace/remove battery was getting old quick. I bought an extension wire and now I can open and take off body to get to battery and not have to unplug lights. The removal of inner plastic body is a small pain to also have to take off due to more body clips to put on and remove. The body clips for inner body cover and outer cover work well, but a pain to find the little holes to put them in, but that's with any RC car. I changed mine out with the 90 degree clips and that works easier.I noticed some replacement parts are harder to come by, but luckily haven't had to replace anything yet.The Bad: I have not found anything bad with this truck.Overall Rating: It is likely the best bang for your buck when considering the fun factor, reliability thus far, and what all this Hyper Go truck comes with, espcially if you can get it on sale. I'd recommend this highly for a responsible kid with adult supervision to help keep it in one piece. This Hyper Go for a first RC vehicle for anyone, I would also recommend as it is fast, easy to control and cost is very reasonable. The metal body, gears and such is a big plus on a car at this price point.

Pound for Pound, Penny for Penny, the Best Value in RC
I don't think there is a better value, penny for penny, for an RC car/truck than the MJX Hyper Go1430X series, and this is the Amazon exclusive version of the 14301.I bought on once before because I did not understand that steering trim and forward/reverse might need to be adjusted, so I returned it. It was a mistake I had to correct a year later. It's heavy. It comes with batteries, a charger, and extra parts, along with all the usual things. It's fast on 2S and a terror on 3S.It hooks like a dream, and it can take some punishment. It's like a newborn ARRMA Infraction 6S, but with full light kit AND backlight var with top front bar and red and blue grill lights. This lights can be turned off and set to flash. This is an excellent choice for a first hobby grade RC for an adult or teen.

Nice truck and very fast. Just needs a better diff gear lol
Overall, it's a fun little truck. Only drawback is the receiver range isn't as good most rc cars I own (Arrma etc) So I'll be swapping out with a dumbo rc unit. Other than that, it's a lot of fun.*update* when running on 3s get ready to replace some gears lol
