Wonderful! Made it work with neutrals wire-nutted together
Just installed it but so far so good! Very intuitive interface, love it.I started with 2 black wires and one ground on my original flip switch. I also had a bundle of 4 white wires all wire-nutted together jammed into the back of the box. I used the black wire that was on the top screw of my original light switch and put that on the top screw of the timer. I put the other black wire that was on the lower screw of my original switch onto the lower (black) screw of the timer. Then green to green using a wire nut that was provided with this switch. Then I used a small extra piece of white wire, 12 gauge solid, and added it to my bunch of other white neutral wires, creating a group of 5 white neutral wires. They are all wire nutted together with a large wire nut I had to buy. Then I connect that short white neutral to the middle screw of the switch, and everything works great! Not sure if it is correct, but seems to work.Fits easily in the box, it doesn't take up much more room than a regular switch. A small indicator light glows at all times, showing what time setting it is currently on. Then when you hit the big square button, it turns on the fan, and the indicator light blinks. When the time is almost up, the indicator light blinks faster, which is nice.

Exhaust fan timer switch
Purchased this to replace my basic on/off switch and I wish I had done it sooner. You can set the timer to whatever you prefer or manually turn on and off. I usually opted to turn it on and have it run for a full 60 minutes. The switch worked perfectly and it lights up to show you where it's at. Buy it!

Exhaust fan timer switch
This switch is exactly what I needed. The light on it blinks as the time decreases and the brightness is not overwhelming at night to keep one awake if in an attached bathroom. Installation was a breeze and had everything completed in under an hour including some paint as the cover plate was slightly smaller than what I originally had.

Intuitive and easy to use!
The Good:• Fits perfectly into a standard existing decora/decorator-style switch plate.• Installation instructions are clear• includes wire nut for ground wire (previous switch had ground wire attached to screw)• Does what you want - turns fan on and off, and time remaining display is pretty clear and easily adjustable• One of the simplest, best-looking designs in this product categoryThe Not So Good:• The push button has a bit of wiggle to it – you can tell it's just a decorative plate loosely in front of a tiny momentary switch button• The white is slightly different than the P&S Legrand switches I have it installed next to (but it looks better than the Legrand version of this timer, so we'll live with it)• Requires neutral wire for installation, which is actually a good thing, so it can work with more efficient fans and doesn't have to draw its power through the fan motor itself 24/7, but it doesn't include a piece of wire to hook that up with, I had to go scrounge some up. Make sure you have appropriate gauge electrical wire to install this with, because unless you're replacing an existing timer switch made for efficient fans, you probably don't have a spare neutral wire just hanging out in your switch box.The Other:• This one could be good or bad really, but I would have liked to know about the 1-minute warning, where it cuts power to the fan for ~1 second when there's 1 minute remaining on the timer, I don't love it, but it is effective at communicating that if you want the fan to keep running, you've gotta add more time.

The one you need for Panasonic low voltage exhaust fans
Don't find out the hard way that your timer cannot properly work with Panasonic exhaust fans. We didn't know there was a difference between this one and their other Maestro timer switch. It works great and we love it. Lutron is worth the extra cost over Levitron in our experience.

This is Nice Looking and Works Very Well
The run time can be set for the time periods shown, so if you leave it on five minutes, for example, the next time you tap it on, it will use the 5 minute setting. but then you can reset it to the other time periods with just a tap. It will turn itself off per the set time, or you can just tap it to turn off at any time remaining. The preset will stay on unless you want to shut it off at any time. A well thought out timer

Awesome switch, requires neutral, no face plate?
Pros:• Easy to use, 1 button operation (well at least to turn on or off). Programming is super simple as well.• Double click always-on override• Looks good, very clean design, fading lights is a nice touch, amber LEDs are easy on the eyes• Good documentation, the manual was easy to follow with clear depictions• Works with low amperage loads. I changed the lamps in our bathroom light to all LEDs, 5 bulbs total 20W. Fan is only 0.7A.• Gives a 1-minute warning. I guess some people don't like this, but I do.Cons:• Costs a lot. Almost as much as the exhaust fan I bought this for, and more than cheaper fans• No Face plate. Really??? $40 for a switch and no decora face plate included?• Requires a lot of box space. This thing takes about half a single-gang standard depth box, about the size of a GFCI receptacle. It was hard to fit in the box with all the wire. I was concerned I might cause a short mashing it all in there, but it did not.• Requires neutral. Lucky for me the neutral was already in the existing switch box.• Does not install itself... Yeah I wish, maybe one day...

Elegant solution to the typical timers
Purchased this item to go alongside a Lutron dimmer & standard switch. The function is elegant and useful, easy to change the time looks great along the other lutron switches. Note that Lutron switches fit the standard junction box bays but the switches themselves are a bit narrower so you may wish to remain consistent if you're adding a Lutron switch to a two-or-more-gang box.Note that these style of timers require a dedicated power feed to operate (they won't work if you don't have a dedicated power supply that's not switched by the timer).

Great countdown timer for bathroom!
Great product if you are looking for a countdown timer for bathroom fan. I love this product! Do your research first before buying the switch though. Check the wattage if it is compatible with your light/fan. MA-51MN-WH is the one you want if you want a timer from 5 min to 60 min. It has the always on function. I bought the MA-51MN-WH and that is what it looks on my bathroom wall. The light is orange and it blinks and counts down. You can adjust the setting with the buttons on the side. To start or stop, just click the switch. I recall the other version, MA-T530G-WH is the eco timer one with shorter time intervals and doesnt have always on (strangely that product's product image looks like the regular one but it is not).

Worked as expected
I had originally purchased a different Lutron switch to control a bathroom fan. But that one did not work properly after installing. I called Lutron Customer Support. They were very polite / professional and we realized that my bathroom fan (originally installed by builder) had a very low amperage which was below the minimum required. They suggested this model (has a lower minimum amperage requirement) and after installation it works and controls the fan as expected. Satisfied with the purchase and the Lutron Customer Support.
