Mitchell and Johnson SAP-201 Hi-Fi Separate Amplifier - Black

Bought a couple of days ago from Amazon at a crazy reduced price. Unit is now in place and I have a whole new collection of music to go with it. Looks good, feels good and sounds fantastic.Having lashed out a few years ago on some expensive Focal speakers I thought I had wasted my money. I was using a quite old Harmon Kardon receiver and when that lost one of the channels I was forced to look for a new amp. The usual checks with reviews of available equipment in magazines and shops made you realise that £300 is clearly in the budget range? At no point did I see or read about Mitchell & Johnson.Even if I had paid the full price for this amp I would not have been disappointed. I read one review that on the whole was very good and helped me decide. That review did comment on the size of the line selection buttons and how they are a bit fiddly. Yes they are, but are not an issue worth considering. Again, the sound reproduction for me is brilliant. If you have an oldish amplifier and are looking for a change I would seriously consider this unit as a serious contender.

First one powered up but did nothing else,I sent it back had a replacement, this worked for a week then did same as the first,I had a third replacement and this didn't work either, not good my friends.

The remote control lets the product down, its too small. Overall it’s a good purchase.

Brought this home tonight. Have had it on for the last 4 hours. She is nowsinging her heart out to some lady Jazz music. Diana Krall, Elaine Elias, KarenSouza. Just lovely. The partnering equipment is Kef iQ5 and the Yamaha WX AD10streamer. I have also been playing some Classical music. Vivaldi and Mozart. Nice.It has taken the 4 hours for the amp to open out the treble and mid range. Worththe wait. If you are thinking about one just do it. The build quality is also very good.definitely more in line with the original price they were sold at. Complaints ? Justone which is not an issue for me. The remote control is an afterthought out of syncwith the rest of the product. There are three relatively good reviews on the web thatare all very positive. So search them out.
