Everyone should have one of these sets in their toolbox. Versatile adapter set. Seems to fit sockets fairly well with no wobble. I’ve only had them a short time but they seem to be fairly decent. Time and use will tell. They come in a cardboard box - they do not come with a storage case.

As an auto tech and equipment repair mechanic, I have many sockets, ratchets and extensions of varying brands, grades and quality ranges. This Blackrobot set is a very straightforward set of adapters to help you get the right socket on the fastener when you need more leverage on tight bolts or a shorter handle on larger fasteners in compromised situations. This set is on par with the kit at harbor freights early pittsburg series if not from the same factory as far as appearance and overall quality seem. The step up adapters are robust enough and I have no concerns about them lasting, the 1/2" down to 3/8" adapter is the guy who will be subjected to the most abuse in many cases and I would be a bit hesitant to rely fully on this one just based on its appearance and dimensions. These are claimed to be impact grade and are coated to look the part, hopefully the trials ahead aren't more than they can handle.

These adapters allow you to use a 1/4 inch ratchet with sockets up to 1/2 inch. It also allows you to use a 1/2 inch ratchet with sockets down to 1/4 inch. These are great for using with an impact driver, or breaker bar. I wanted them to allow me to use a wide range of sockets with a single ratchet, in an emergency tool kit I carry in my car. These seem very sturdy, and well made. Nothing wrong with these adapters that I could find.

Over the years I have collected an assortment of sockets and ratchets. These adaptors make it easier for me to mix and match between sets. They are pretty basic but useful and sturdy.

I like being able to use adapters so I dont have to carry a bunch of socket sets. this way i have 1 to fit most

I'm pretty disorganized and often can'r find the ratchet I need for the size socket I found. This means I don't have to anymore...as long as I can keep up with these batter than I do the other tools. I recently had to stretch farther into a space than one extension would allow, and didn't have another extension the same size. With this set I was able to connect a 1/4" extension to my 3/8" extension and get all the way to the bolt I needed to access. Worked like a champ.
