This is the second battery mini chainsaw I've purchased. The first one - a different model I should stress - went on fire and I returned it. I was therefore somewhat sceptical of the idea of this type of chainsaw. However, I took the plunge and bought another model and, having now used this one for some time, I can say it's very good. And not just because it hasn't gone on fire. Battery life is decent - I haven't had the battery run out on me yet; I've always completed the jobs I had before returning it to charge. It's cut through everything I've asked it to. It's really handy and I'm very happy with it. Great little portable tool. Good value.

I’m usually a bit of a DIY disaster, but managed to put this together okay! I did put the chain in the wrong way round at first and only noticed when it wouldn’t cut anything!! With the chain the correct way around, the product is great

Basic design, easy to maintain, not much to go wrong. Instructions didn’t quite match the model but you can work it out yourself. Chain oil didn’t flow automatically so I manually applied lubricant to chain. Would have given 5 stars but for these couple of small issues.

Happy with saw but when assembled does not fit in case, think wrong caSe do not want to return saw need to use

It is a good concept ruined by a poorly made chain tensioner. There is a simple gear to turn the mechanism at a right angle, but the two cogs are so loosely fitted that they just don't connect with one another adequately. Consequently the tensioner will not tighten the chain, which needs doing quite frequently. It seems impossible to get at the two cogs, which are behind a metal bar set in the plastic casing. There are too many of these dodgy electtrical DIY tools out there, and I think we all know where most of them are coming from. Fortunately Amazon have agreed to give me a full refund, in spite of it being a few days after the return date. Finally, I can't understand why other reviewer didn't have the same problem. The only clue I could see was that the photos in the instruction leaflet seem to indicate that metal instead of plastic may have been used for some of the parts previously.

12 inch chain saw ordered, 10 inch chain saw supplied. I seem to have misunderstood that bar size is not cutting size.

Bought to make some inroads into a gathering wood pile in the garden which consists of small diameter branches rather than huge tree trunks. I have noticed that the chain loosens very quickly with continuous use so keep an eye on that, otherwise, does as expected and is very light to use. As others have noted, runs through a battery in about 40-60 minutes so best buy two of them to keep one on continous charge.

Nice little chainsaw the only problem is the chain tensioning but apart from that did what i needed around bushes and trees.
