Good refresher
This was a good refresher and was full of materiel. However, while recommended by the company, did not help much for DENSO's PSR. I'm giving 4 stars because it is full of material that I'm sure will help most people with mechanical knowledge and reasoning.

This book helped me ace my test, my recommendations for future test takers looking to study
I would like to treat each book I used to study for my exam equally. However, this book ranks highest out of the three I used. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to improve their Mechanical Aptitude test scores. This book covers a ton of fundamentals that will help you on test day. This book goes into great detail on a variety of subjects. This book will explain the answers in great detail and will actually teach you various subjects so you can answer questions you will not encounter in this book or perhaps any test prep material out there today. I ended up acing my test thanks to this book and several other study materials as well. Here are my recommendations for future test takers looking to study: buy this book and buy the mobile app called Aptitude Test Trainer on the Google Play store. Also, I highly recommend picking up these books on amazon listed in the following links: Master the Civil Service Exams (Peterson's Master the Civil Service Exams)Master The Mechanical Aptitude and Spatial Relations Test (Mechanical Aptitude and Spatial Relations Tests) (Peterson's Master the Mechanical Aptitude & Spatial Tests) Use Barron's and the mobile app to get started, then follow up with Master the Civil Service exam. Lastly, Master The Mechanical Aptitude and Spatial Realtions tests. Use the mobile app daily or as often as possible. I wish you all the best of luck

I've learned all Different types of tools.
The media could not be loaded. I'm a steam boiler engineer and maintenence mechanic I like the book it teaches you how to be a better maintenance and engineering. everything you need to know out in the field it's in the book. Now I can do my job more better having some knowledge on knowing what specific tool I need to do the job. Like using a metal mallet hammer To loosen up a 2 inch Union nut or using a rubber mallet hammer to us for my wood project.I definitely recommend the book. Not only that is good for taking the test but it's also good to teach you how to use and which tools to use and what are they for.

A decent study guide but not in-depth
There are about 450 pages of various mechanical topics but some important ones are missing. This book does a good job of explaining to a broad audience. There are literally zero mathematical approaches to any of these mechanical topics. It will help to get you the fundamental knowledge of mechanical concepts but you won't know what to do when they throw numbers at you.

It helped.
The section on gears helped me with a recent test. I didn't need the spatial recognition part and wish they had just a mechanical aptitude book. Maybe they do?

Very helpful
It’s a great book to prep yourself for any aptitude test you need to take for a job application. It also includes some website links to free sources too.I’d recommend this and the “everything you need to ace math in one big fat notebook” to refresh on or for a child in school.

Did the job as I hoped for
Excellent book to prep for my Navy RT and subsequently I passed it! Even if you have no specific aim to use this book, it is a good reference material to help you understand how things work. This book also helps you to prep for the timed tests, which is crucial for any timed test.
