Be careful when assembling
I like the quality and color of this shelf. It is a nice addition to the kids room. Be careful when putting it together because the dowels snap easily, which we learned the hard way. Fortunately, it came with an extra dowel. The overall size and holes size were as described.

Great, sturdy, cube shelf!
This thing is pretty solid for a cube shelf! Easy to put together, great looking, holds a good amount of weight. The color is as shown, the size is as described. 13x13 inch fabric bins fit perfectly. ALSO!!! Our first one was damaged (i assume during shipping) and the seller sent us a replacement in such a short time!

Quality and Sturdiness is Lacking
This product was easy to assemble and had all of it's pieces, but some of the pieces were not as sturdy as I had hoped. A few of the dowels broke as we were putting things together and the shelves, top and sides are pretty thin. Time will tell if it holds up. Also, something to note, both the top and bottom pieces had chunks out of the "finish" and were colored over in brown marker.

Super product
I’m so very satisfied with this product. I purchased two of them. The assembly instructions are outstanding. Hey, I’m an 83 year old female and I put them together. They are sturdy, accommodate the fabric cube drawers purchased separately, and look nice!!

Went together quite well
This 6 cubicle shelf had all of the proper pieces and went together well. The 9 cube shelf was a total disaster. All of the correct pieces were included in the box for the 6 cube shelf. The 9 cube set included to side boards that belonged with the 6 cube set...there was only one board that the small divider boards fit into....so bottom line is that there was a top and bottom board, two side boards of the right length....2 sideboards that belonged with a 6 cube set...only 5 of the short divider boards when there should have been 6...and the second 'middle' board that should have been there for the third row of cubicles was missing entirely. We thought we could use the two side boards that belonged with the 6 cube set and just settle with having two six cube shelves to stack on top of each other, but those side boards would no work. We ended up using the side boards that go with the 9 cube shelf and just leaving an open shelf on the top with side walls. We used the back board to make it look as if it was designed to have an open top shelf....with no top board to finish off the square. It works and it holds 3 of the cloth cubes that can be used with this sort of storage shelving. From the very beginning on the 9 cube shelf if was very obvious that the holes for the pegs to go through were not drilled the right size and some were not drilled in a straight up and down direction so the pegs would go in at an odd angle and not want to line up with the short divider wall holes until we took a screwdriver and made the holes wide enough for the pegs. This was an entirely different experience than what we had with the 6 cube shelf which we had assembled first. Then there were three other pieces of small weathered gray laminate pieces that were thin like the back boards...but these are three random items in weathered gray, but we purchased the walnut shelves. Honestly, I can't help but think that the person who put the items for the 9 cube set had to have been taking mind altering substances when they packaged it up. Over half of the pegs for the 9 cube set broke trying to assemble this travesty. No such problem with the 6 cube set. If the items weren't so massive and heavy to work with I would have just sent the thing back. It would have required more strength and work to try to get this very heavy box repackaged and sent back, so we are making do. I have a master's degree in Go****a Tape so I was able to make it all work and hold together securely in spite of the lousy quality of the items in the 9 cube set...again, not entirely the quality of the materials themselves, other than the soft wood used for the dowel pegs, but rather the fact that missing pieces for the 9 cube set and extra pieces from at least two other sets were included in the package for the 9 cube unit.

For the price it is good.
I can't knock it for the price. This thing is made of good quality particle, and the included hardware, just screws, dowels, and optional nails for the backer, is also up to my expectations. It holds together well, and for my purposes it is great. Now for the realistic part of the review. After doing a bit of searching on amazon, thf you do a bit of searching on amazon, is seemed to be the best I could find on trying to maximize affordable with sturdy. Others were plastic or had a lot of reviews of breaking. That's why I chose this one, and after 1.5 years of use and 1 move, it is holding up just fine. you do a bit of searching on amazon,I would say there are just 2 knocks, that really are minor and livable, but I want people to be aware so they can decide for themselves.1) even if it is sturdy, there is still some wobble to it. I never worried about it, but now I have my nephew around on occasion, so if were regularly "wiggled" as tots like to do, it has me a bit concerned for it's longevity.2) The paint hold up ok, but does scratch off. Even more, the included stickers they have to cover the screw holes WILL take up the paint upon removal. That last bit is the only detail that was a true knock on this for more.Otherwise, I am still quite pleased with it, and if this is in your price range, I can attest that it looks good, holds up, and holds thing!Note: I cant speak for the backer board at all, I never used it and discarded it in the move. There is a chance that it'd actually help the stability some, but I can't say that from experience.

Cheaply made
Cheap particle board. Very cheap white lamination. NOT worth $70. If this was for something other than storage of misc stuff in my gym I’d return it. Target has much better, better built and better looking for less.
