We had a bad experience concerning the music at a local catering hall for my daughter's sweet 16. They said to bring any device and we could plug into their sound system. My kids created a 4 hour song list via Spotify. We were all set. When we got to the caterer and plugged our laptop into their system.....it was faint, distorted and totally useless. We had someone else plug in their iphone and log on to our Spotify account and same thing. We were pretty much stuck without music for my daughter's big party. Not any more. With that experience, I searched Amazon and found these great speakers. We wont be without music any more....at our outdoor pool parties at home, nor 2 more upcoming sweet 16 parties in the near future. These speakers are great. LOUD and the thumping bass. Although I have been critical of "Made in China" products before, so far these speakers have performed at several parties without problems. Important note: just using the one speaker will not be stereo....and unless you can select mono from your audio source, only the right/left will play through the one speaker. If you buy the second passive speaker, you will get true stereo. This is something I noticed when one speaker was hooked up and on songs I knew well there were sounds missing that I knew should have been there, or vocals are not as loud as you are used to. Like I mentioned...if you can select mono from your ipad/iPhone, etc, that should fix it. Never researched this in depth as I have both speakers. In any case, the sound is clear and any type of adjustments to bass or treble are very noticeable. There are two knobs to adjust bass/treble as well as an equalizer for further adjustment. We bought the set (Active and Passive)...and for the price, are very happy. Kids love the volume and lights. I love the fact that I won't ever have to rely on a DJ or in-house catering sound system as long as these speakers keep on performing. For the price, the look, feel and sound can't be beat.

Ordered this because I have the active unit (PSUFM1035A). Says this will easily pair with the one I have with the included RCA cable. This speaker has the correct model number on it but the hook ups are basic speaker wires NOT RCA CABLE! I am wondering how the description and the pictures of the product are so different than what I got? Did someone just decide to re-label a different speaker or what? Then to top it off, I went ahead and hooked it up to find out that 1 of the 2 subs in it is BLOWN!

Incredible sound and quality! Bought two, as replacements for my 1980s 12 inch 3 way floor speakers. Running a technical pro 500 watt amplifier and a Teac 20 band EQ, no distortion with high volume. Crisp, clear sounding professional DJ quality. Might get 2 stands so they don't sit on my basement floor. They are too good to sit on concrete! Lights are a bonus. They do not need to be plugged into the wall, must run off of speaker wire low voltage. Thanks Pyle for an outstanding product. Will have for 30 years!

I would give this product a higher rating if it wasn't SO DAMN HARD to get the speaker to LITE UP!You have to pump some impressive wattage through this thing to get any decent light show out of it! So playing it at low volumes is practically impractical and really needs individual lite up switch!It's ok for the price, sad they discontinued the line!

Great speaker for the price. Very loud and better than expected. I bought two but due to how loud it is, I only needed one. Would have given 5 stars but the On/Off switch does not work. Several other reviews stated various malfunctions. Quality control measures should be improved.

Used these for our wedding this weekend (this speaker and the "active" one) and they worked amazingly! We had about 150 guests and the music was loud enough to dance to without even cranking it up all the way. We purchased a wireless microphone separately to use with these speakers and it worked great! Great bass and great sound! Can't wait to use these for parties!

these stupid speakers died first week with 230watts being my maxed load because i was being gentle... bottom speaker went out and the top is on the same air channel and when the top vibrated the bottom absord all of the energy and muffled 100% of the sound... then ended up being silent speakers...

GOT this as the slave to the PSUFM1035A it is identical without the volume. microphone guitar hook up and EQno power requiredeverything works off of the RCA to speaker terminal +/- wires2 10" 2 tweeters and identical light panel that plays to the music in the front as well as the color changing LED around the tweeter and the Subgrills protect the speaker from damage from hitting or kickingrubber feet to protect the bottom and floorit is a little out of synch with the main but I think its more cause I produce music and notice that stuff
