Amazing value
I’ve had two of these and they work really well. Amazing value for the money

Worth the price if you just need USB from battery
Works well, although not efficiently, with 12v panels. It's easy to use although has no setting for Li batteries. I use one for 12v LiFeP battery and it works fine. You can set the voltage for charge and float. USB outlets control voltage at 5.1 v regardless of battery volts (anything from 10.5 to 14 on mine). Worth the price for the controlled USB voltage from a 12v battery.

Good product, unintelligible I instructions
The instructions are terrible. They lead one to believe this charge controller is ONLY for lead acid batteries. But they hint that lithium is also usable but do not explain how to change from b1 (lead) the default setting to b2 or b3 (lithium). Well I figured it out on my own so I canceled the return. To change to lithium b2 or b3, hit the menu button until the screen shows 'b1'. Then press menu and the "minus/down arrow" at the same time. This makes b1 flash and allows you to cycle through b1-b2-b3. So I set it on b3 (Li iron) which is my battery type

Unreliable
Does not always detect correctly if the battery is 12v or 24v, so tries to overcharge a 12v battery. USB ports don't work and smell like burning when connected. Not useful for unattended use!

Great performance
We are getting great performance from this mppt controller. Installed a 200 watt panel and we’ve had days that were cloudy all day yet this controller is getting plenty for the batteries. Ordered a second to replace the controller on our portable panels it has worked so well

Works great but don't over tighten the screws.
Works great. The only flaw is the cheap metal used in the screw contacts for the wire. They strip very easily. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN The screws

Works as described, great after initial install, but NOTE needs setup right away for voltage output.
Second one purchased, used in camper build feeding 200W solar into 200Ah Li batteries. Seems stable, runs cool, no gremlins so far, EXCEPT:NOTE it is shipped set up for 24V output (mine was anyway), you will need to **immediately** reprogram for 13V output or you could overload your 12 V system. This is not a complaint, just informational. I like it and bought a spare.

Well built
Certainly! I apologize for the confusion. Here's a consolidated review with two paragraphs:I recently acquired the 12V, 30 Amp solar charge controller as a backup for my primary system, and although I haven't had the opportunity to use it yet, my initial impressions are positive. The controller appears to be well-made with a sturdy build, instilling confidence in its potential reliability. The straightforward installation process and user-friendly interface are welcoming, especially for someone like me who is still navigating the world of solar setups. I intend to pair it with a 25-watt solar panel and a lead-acid battery, and while the real-world test is pending, I'm optimistic about its performance based on its promising features and durable construction. In anticipation of its application in my solar energy system, I appreciate the controller's thoughtful design and versatility. The ease of use and compatibility with various setups make it an attractive choice for both beginners and experienced users alike. I look forward to seeing how well it complements my solar panel and battery combination and believe it's a wise investment for those seeking a reliable backup or alternative solution for their solar charging needs.
