Bought for a christmas present for the grandson, he loved looking at all the different slides very intrigued at the differences in them, they were a good price for for the amount, they were clear and made well

Very good slides for my Sons new microscope for Christmas

Voluntary review of a product that I purchased and paid for. Set comprises 48 samples of four sample groups: plants, flowers, insects and animals. Everything on a safe to use clear plastic slides. Ideal for kids use without extra supervision of an adult. In general quality is decent. I have found 4 slides which are poorly made (contains residual trace of material, not substantial enough for observation). Bigger issue is resin/bonding agent used for slides. Due to the sample being compromised by resin some of the slides are difficult to observe under the microscope. Plastic used for sliders is not scratch resistant so handle with care. All in all this biological sample specimen set is a good entry level science kit for kids. I’m convinced that is a good science introduction to something bigger or broadening the scope of child interests and hobbies, Purchased on request of my 8yr old son. Now during the lockdown is one of his favoured activities. Surprizes me every time when microscope and books taking over streaming service or gaming console time.

These slides are like Monopoly money - imitation and clearly not the real thing. There are lots of bubbles left behind from the preparation of these slides - all of which show through the lens, leading to confusion for infant scientists using a microscope for the first time. On the other hand, with guidance and explanation from adults who know the difference, the slides are very clearly labelled and there is a very diverse range of items to interest little minds. Reasonable value and with a little sorting through there is enough of interest to make these slides worth the money.

Slides look great they are for my grandson for Christmas to go with his microscope so havnt been opened yet

This is a great set. I just got some of my grandchildren their first microscopes. That was when I noticed this set of slides. Both of my grandchildren love them. It was the first time in a long time I seen them put their tables down. They were using the slides for hours, anything that gets 9 year old to put a table down for hours has to be good.
