Great addition to monitor new dog
After adopting a new 16 mo. old dog, she came with a little separation anxiety. Arriving home after a test 20 minute outing, we found her lying on the dining room table, wagging away! We purchased this camera to observe and better understand her anxiety so we can help her overcome it. It covers a large great room and also the door leading to our garage, where the dog lies in wait for us when we leave. The installation was simple, once the ethernet cable was routed through the attic. When viewing live or recorded footage from the client (via monitor hooked to the NVR), the camera has three viewing styles, see pics. The fisheye is of course a bit distorted but you get used to looking beyond that. The elliptical "stretched" fisheye is the style I prefer, as it displays our great room most accurately. The expanded mode shows each angle with the most detail, but for me it was hard to follow as a moving subject would appear in two frames at once. The expanded mode is the one my wife prefers, so I guess it is just a matter of how your brain sees things. The footage is recorded in whichever mode was selected at the time. We have ours set to record 24/7, just like the other cameras in our system. Another review had said this option was not available to them. The REOLINK phone app has four viewing modes, which other reviews have covered in full.I downsized the resolution to upload the images on this review, but also included a zoomed-in, full resolution detail of the dining table to understand the quality of the image. Can't read over a person's shoulder or anything, but the overall 6MP image quality is close to the other cameras in our setup, which are 12MP.To touch on other reviews that mention high heat coming off the camera, it is indeed pretty warm to touch in places, probably around 100 degrees. That said, I have no concern of it starting a fire or leaving a mark somewhere. Many other indoor and outdoor cameras I've used from multiple manufacturers run very hot as well. Time will tell if the operating temperature affects the longevity, but for now we are very happy with our purchase!

Very good starter system and great CS.
Honesty, I'm pretty impressedNot only by the quality of the video but also of the quality of the customer service I received for this camera.I purchased two FE-Ps, an NVR, and doorbell camera. I chose PoE for the cameras so I wouldn't have to worry about running power to their locations, only Ethernet cable. However I did have issues mounting the first one and had the PoE cable on the camera snap on me when installing. Reolink heard my concerns and was kind enough to replace the damaged unit, and I received that around 48 hours later. Shout out to them for that.I would say the pros are definitely pricing, relative ease of setup once Ethernet cable is in place. The night vision is good but I did have to take the display off of auto for NV as the auto settings did not allow for maximum distance vision for some reason.Cons for this would be dialing in sensitivity for the cameras, which took about two weeks to find a good sensitivity schedule.Additionally, I wish they would provide and update to the FE-P line because these are really capable and cool tech. They could use some more detection capabilities built into the software. Mainly, concerning where the sensors are locating motion when they do, as well as differentiating between pets and cars, as it only shows people and general motion at this time.

Only issue is poor night vision
Starting with the bad. I'm using this to replace a Reolink E1 camera. The night vision is poor due to having fewer/dimmer IR lights. Going from 8 IR lights with the E1 to only 3 with this Fisheye makes a dramatic difference which can be immediately seen with the somewhat poor night vision quality. The moment I added an IR spot light, the night vision image on the Fisheye was crystal clear. The second this is that this thing get a little hot. I've tried PoE Ethernet as well as a dedicated power supply and noticed the unit itself got a little toasty. It was slightly concerning, but worth noting. In terms of the good, it offers a nice field of view with various viewing options. In daylight conditions the quality is more than enough. Viewing angles can be changed on the fly without needing to restart, BUT if you want a multi-picture view the camera will need to restart to access and leave this mode. The camera can utilize up to a 256GB SDCard or you can save video direct to a recording device. The camera will work in non-saving mode if neither an SDCard no NVR is accessible. There's 24hr monitoring as well as motion detection monitoring and users can state when each mode is utilized throughout the day.Mounting hardware is included as well as a short Ethernet cable. Power is not, but the camera has a connected adapter to connect a 12V power supply. Annoyingly this dongle cannot be removed. In the end, I'm not too happy with this Reolink camera. It works well in the day, but the poor night vision due to design is definitely a big blow. I'm currently considering returning this as it won't perform in the conditions which I expected.
