To make it into a 3way switch you have to literally drill a hole on one of the terminals to make it into a 3 way switch!

SIMPLE ITEM

These are standard size e26 lamp socket/switches. Have a nice sure on of feel when switched.UL listed means they are acceptable design..I just used the guts, the socket/switch, not the housing, to fixTwo lamps , that had broken switches.. I would of bought just the switches , if I could find themcheaper. But these were reasonable. I think the average person can do this job, all is neededA flat head screw driver… you do want to make sure hot, goes to gold terminal, and neutral goes to silverTerminal. Assuming, the original lamp was wired correctly, just observe , which wire goes toGold and silver terminal, on old socket and wire the same way on new socket.

Fixed my wooden floor lamp in no time!

Not as thrilled as I thought I would be. The fixture fit but after a week there were problems with it. I was only able to get mid or high lights to work and at times it flickered a lot. Not sure what to do with it for now

I had a number of lamps where the 3 way switches were going out (some only worked on 1 or 2 settings, some the switches felt loose and had to be set just right for the lamp to stay on, and one gave me a shock every time I turned it on!). I had never replaced a lamp switch before, but I watched You Tubes and gave it a try. I bought a switch at Menards and installed it. I was not entirely happy with the result; the switch felt flimsy and just did not feel like a quality product. So, I ordered a package of these switches. What a difference! These are firm, sturdy, and I expect to get another 10-20 years out of my lamps! Also, they came in oil rubbed bronze, which I could not find at any local store. They look and work perfect.
