Clever, portable design and premium build
Simple and very compact design. Unique because it packs away flat and you bend it to form the arc shape before use. I've not had this long enough to comment on how robust the moving joint (and associated electronics) inside the flexible rubber exterior that makes this possible is. However, I think this is a quality product and a lot of attention has probably gone into the design and quality of construction.Pairing was very straightforward and once paired, using it was just a case of bending it into shape to switch it on. The mouse then works just like any other good quality optical mouse but the left and right clicks are housed under a track pad that works flawlessly for horizontal and vertical scrolling.Again, I've not had the mouse long enough to comment on battery life. In any case, it only uses two AAA batteries so it is never going to be expensive to run! This is quite an expensive mouse but it feels like a premium product with a very clever, portable design so I am pleased with my purchase. However, as a premium product, I would have expected some sort of case to have been included, even if it was a simple cloth bag.

Great looking mouse and it saves a USB slot
Lets face it, I bought it because it looked cool. For that it has hit the mark- five stars. On top of that it works really well as a mouse on every surface tried so far. It fits the hand well and has that nice matt feel which hopefully will last. I was worried about resting my finger on the right side of the pad while clicking with the left but it seems smart enough to work that out. The scroll up/down works really well being speed sensitive. The connection by Bluetooth to my Dell XPS 13 was easy and has been very stable so far.Almost everyone who has admired it up has wondered out loud how long the break switch will last but I guess we will know that in a year or two. What would be really nice would be track-pad style multi-finger support for zoom, clear screen etc which it feels like its capable of doing but doesn't. Other than that its a very pleasing travel mouse.

Microsoft Surface Arc Mouse – Review
The Microsoft Surface Arc Mouse is an interesting idea, minimalist and sublime – it is what it is – a travel mouse that can be flattened for easy storage/travel, or “arced” to act as a mouse when needed. It’s a nice gimmick, being able to fold the mouse into an arc when used – it also happens to switch the mouse on as well. The out-of-the-box experience is also minimal. All you get in the box is the mouse, some instructions, and the two AAA Batteries it needs. Yes, it needs batteries, which, in the day and age of rechargeability, is something of a letdown. Given Mircosoft are still making the Arc Mouse in 2024, it’s time they innovated and released one with a rechargeable internal battery. That aside, the mouse is comfortable to hold and use, although requires a firm press to get it to click – it might wear in with use and become easier to click in future. The touch-scroll feature works without issue. It’s different from an ordinary wheeled mouse, but not too different. Battery life – is unknown at the moment, I’ve only been using it for a day. But I’ll keep an eye on it. Once the batteries it came with have died, I shall swap them out with a couple of rechargeable ones. The colour is nice, I opted for the Ice Blue colour – but it looks more grey than blue. It tracks well, and set-up was easy, my Surface Laptop picked it up as soon as I switched it on.Overall, 9/10. It loses a point for not being rechargeable, (come on Microsoft, it’s doable!), but aside from that it’s a nice and comfortable mouse.

Comfortable, works great, but is expensive for a mouse
If you have a surface pro or a surface go then this is the perfect mouse to go with it. Fully compatible and in colours matching the snap on keyboards, it does what you'd expect and is comfortable to use. However, for a mouse, it is very expensive. The fold flat though is much appreciated when travelling. Have yet to replace the battery after several months of use, so reckon the battery life is very good.

Class!
Even before you open the box, you can just sense a class product. The build of the Arc mouse is excellent and the left and right clicks are very quiet but not silent. The touch scroll is fantastic, but then again I have been used to using a touch mouse for about the last 10 years (the Logitech Ultrathin Touch Mouse). Even though I have very small hands, this fits perfectly for my needs. I'm mega pleased with it, so much so that I am tempted to order another colour, i.e. the sage (I bought the black which I am currently reviewing right now). All the other colours are more expensive, but not sure why? Maybe Amazon could consider dropping the prices to match the price of the black? An excellent product from Microsoft and and the usual excellent service from Amazon.

Genuine Microsoft Mouse
I bought this to compliment the cover and pen in the same colour for my Surface Pro 7. Came quickly and works a treat. As with any mouse it will depend on your hand size and use as to how well this mouse will work for you. For me it is ergonomically good. A bit pricey, like all genuine Microsoft accessories, but quality is good and of course it pairs instantly to the Surface Pro 7 without the need for separate dongles or messing with Bluetooth settings.Probably not an essential item, but, I like it and find it useful. Battery life seems good particularly if you switch it off when not in use.
