I bought a different language tool and, well the words were not put together in sentences. Pronunciation was never clearly said. This is a very good kickoff to me learning Russian . I can actually speak a few sentences with a decent accent!

I am having a blast learning with this program. It is very repetative and that is crucial to having the information STICK! I have learned that some of the words used are words "no one uses" from my Russian family members. That was a bummer after I learned to say it. All in all I am learning and the speakers on the Cd are very clear talking you through each part of the new and foreign words.

Pimsleur language CDs are always carefully designed to get you up and running with the least difficulty. Quick & Simple Russian is no exception. The Russian speakers are very good. The tried and true method of presenting words and phrases you need to navigate as a tourist make learning the basics nearly painless.

Really helpful. I haven't been disappointed by Pimsleur yet.

When purchasing this CD bundle, I hoped the quantity of Russian spoken would have been more than actually on the CDs. My desire was to just hear people speaking Russian so I could get accustomed to hearing the language. Most of what was spoken was between two people going back and forth with a few simple phrases. I chose Pimsleur because they had a good reputation.

Great introduction to a difficult language, although I wish they hadn't focused so much on ordering beer and wine on the last 2 cd's, since I don't drink either.

Like most language training tools-it’s several useless phrases. Two lessons per disc on six discs-so you aren’t getting much. But considering the price, that’s probably appropriate. One thing that bugged me-some of the phrases aren’t slowly covered. Some of the native speakers speak very quickly. I’m still trying to figure out how to ask someone where they would like to eat. Additionally it doesn’t cover grammar at all-which is wildly important in Russian. Overall I wouldn’t recommend.

Excellent pour un premier contact avec la langue parlée. En revanche, aucun passage à l'écrit n'est prévu, le vocabulaire est sommaire, et les structures sont vraiment basiques.A recommander donc pour une première approche, mais une méthode plus complète, faisant intervenir les compétences de l'écrit, avec des notions grammaticales plus poussées, s'avère indispensable à très court terme.

Very easy to pick up - admittedly basic - Russian from this set. Quite amusing too as it's clearly aimed at blokes trying to chat up Russian women in Moscow. Also, be aware that it's American, so no mention of how to say "I'm British." But good nevertheless.
