Easy to install and it solved my problem. The receiver for the water filter on my Samsung Refrigerator was damaged and would have cost 200 fro the parts alone and hours of work. Put this filter in the water line that goes to the fridge in seconds. Cut the line and the slip fit locked right up. Problem solved.

Good price. Easy install. I am a Sears trained appliance technician and a trick I picked up along the way is to install a cheaper inline filter like this to pre-filter the water going to your frig. Then you change this cheap $10 filter every six months and save the expensive one in the frig to ONCE per year. Try it - you’ll see it works well. Just cut the water-to-frig line anywhere it’s easily accessible to change and where there’s enough room for it to fit. Like under a sink or behind the frig. Mine is under the kitchen sink. Works great!

I like to install filters that have the shark bite type connections. I have plenty of extra 1/4' hose in the back of the refrigerator. So turn off the water under the sink, cut the hose on either side of the old filter, cut the 2 tie wraps that hold it in, push the hose into the new filter, tie up with 2 new tie wraps, turn on the water, look for drips, none, then run the water for 5 min to get rid of the sediment. done. Just something that has to be done every few years so our refrigerator water and ice doesn't have any after taste.

This is the second one we've ordered because I forgot to disconnect it before winterizing. Really loved the first one, hope the second is just as good

Haven't installed it yet as I need to move some plumbing around first.
