Works great! Just make sure to wire them properly.
I originally bought two of these to monitor a generator circuit that I'm installing for my house. But first, I wanted to see how much power my house was using so that I could make sure to not overload my generator. After installing two of them on the main lugs, I decided that I would keep them, because it's nice to see how much electricity your house is using at all times. The wiring is easy. If you're looking at the back of the box, the current transformer (CT) goes into the top two terminals (doesn't matter which color goes in the top or bottom). Then, your 'hot' wire goes into the third terminal and the neutral wire goes in the bottom terminal.I was able to wire these while my panel was hot. I have the 'hot' wires coming out of my 30A dryer breaker, so I was able to cut it off while wiring.I'm using 10GA wiring and it fits inside the screw terminals.ONE THING TO NOTE! Do not attach the current transformers to the live wires without already having it screwed into the meter. Google risks of an open CT and you'll see why.Overall, I'm super satisfied with the meters. The light is bright and the numbers are easy to read. They seem accurate, but I don't have any way to prove that. Also, since I had four of these at my panel, I bought a sheet of ABS plastic to mount them into and they look nice!

Valuable Little Meter
I recently installed a backup generator for power outages. I installed this meter in the transfer switch panel to monitor both Line & Gen power. It works perfectly, and for the price, it can't be beat. Thus far, it has accurately monitored the average Wattage in real-time, current Amperage, Hz, and most importantly, a cumulative kWh reading until its reset. It also monitors how efficient your utility company is providing power to you (Power Factor). Interestingly, while performing generator tests, I discovered my generator is actually more efficient than my Utility company! I'm very satisfied with this product.

how to hook up wiring properly
operation of unit is excellant. instructions to hook up power was poor. since i knew center of light bulb is hot and side is ground or common it was easy for me hook up. instructions in booklet could be much better and larger for us old people to see

Accurate, Easy-to-Read Power Monitor for Home Projects
This multifunction power monitor is a great tool for tracking energy usage. The LCD display is bright and easy to read, showing voltage, current, frequency, power factor, and energy consumption clearly. Installation was straightforward with the split-core CT—no need to disconnect wires. It handles a wide voltage range (80-260V) and up to 100A, perfect for monitoring appliances or DIY solar setups. Very useful for identifying energy drains in the home!

Great Product
Used two of these to monitor power from generator. Really easy to install because the sensor clamps around the cable.

Not accurate readings.
Works but the KW usage is not accurate. Not useful if you want to know how many Kilo Watts you using.

A Must-Have for Generator Use
I wanted to add a simple ammeter to my home service panel so I could see how hard my generator is working when the power fails. These LCD digital display power meters are absolutely perfect for the job.The split-ring current transformers made it really easy to snap around the existing wiring inside my home's service panel. No need to disconnect wires, pass through a closed-loop current transformer and then reattach. So installation was a breeze. The junction box shown in this photo was also ordered via Amazon and gives these power meters a solid home, and a great professional appearance. They're also very easy to program. I have visual alarms set to flash if power goes over 10kW. It's also easy to reset the kWh readout for tracking power overall power consumption during a power failure event. The instruction sheet was simple, but covered all the necessary details.Update: After 3 months of continuous operation in my home, the meters reached 999KWh. They do not go beyond 999, or automatically "flip" back to zero. They remain stuck at 999KWh until reset by the owner. This is not a problem. Just be mindful that you'll need to keep a journal if you want to track power consumption beyond 999KWh.
