Cheaper than new softener.
I did get an experienced plumber to replace it just to make sure I wouldn’t get leak.I have a Kenmore (Sears) water softener. Obviously, Sears is out of business. They have a home repair department but they said they had no one in the area and hung up.I went to Lowes to look at a new water softener and noticed the valve was almost identical to the one on mine. So I got on Amazon and found this valve.he description was very helpful. There was a comment about 5 sides or 5 holes which is what I had.on mine. I bought it, put it next to the old one and it matched perfectly. I got it installed and it works just like a new one.

Easy to install. Exactly what I needed
Our water softener had been leaking for a while. The unit had been in place long before we moved into our house but it worked okay. However, that leak bothered me. So, I purchased this set and it fit perfectly. Be sure to use the Teflon tape where it’s required. Those old clips were a bear to get off but once removed, installation of the new u it was a snap. Replace all the pieces. Toss the old. The plastic on the old part was not flexible at all. This item was a perfect fit for our unit.

Spent alllllot of money and this fixed it!
My bypass valve was leaking on the out flow right next to the head….I tried disassembling the Venturi valve, replaced the head, bought an embarrassing amount of different sized washers to try and fix the constant drip. Nothing worked. I tried to go cheap and buy one of those 30 dollar bypass valves and created a small flood! I was at wits end with this water softener! I bit my lip and paid for this bypass valve. What a difference! You can tell this bypass valve is of much better quality than the others you are probably contemplating like I did. Don’t do it! This is the one, no leaks, solid connection and an easy sliding bypass with the correct O rings. Don’t be like me, if you got a drip on the out flow right by that black tension ring, this is the fix. I have a WHES33 LE33 and it fixed my problem.

Worked perfectly for WHES33
I have a Whirpool WHES33. Mine started filling up the tank completely to the point where i had to throw the water or it would overflow. I first tried changing the O rings on the bypass valve and that didnt work. Then i changed the whole venturi valve alone and it didnt work. As a last resort before spending money on a whole new tank i tried replacing the bypass valve and finally it is working just fine. Im very happy with this, worked perfectly for me and saved me some cash. Very easy to replace! It comes with everything u need and it took me about 5 minutes to replace it.

Like the other reviews this fixed my Whirlpool WHES33 water softener
Just like so many reviews, I tried to fix my water softener leak by replacing O - rings. The leak in my softener was a small drip coming out of the outlet side which seems like a common situation. There must be an issue with the design causing this. Anyway, it was an easy swap and I guess it saves me from purchasing an entire unit which would cost many hundreds of dollars more. This is the second diverter valve I have replaced, the first replacement was also purchased from this store and it was in 2020 so it lasted me about three years before it failed.
