Well thought of design. Fits Uno R4 Minima perfectly.
This is a nice case design for Arduino Uno R4 Minima. It utilizes the bottom piece that comes with the Arduino and does a great job of protecting the board. Note that this is specifically for the Uno R4 Minima, not the R3, and it does fit the R4 Minima perfectly with no modification. It has a nice design to extend the reset button with a small captive plastic piece, it came with two of the reset button extensions, one of mine was broken, but I guess that's why they give you two... just in case.It comes with a small Phillips screwdriver which I think is a very nice touch, especially considering the price of the case. I used the included screwdriver to assemble the case and found that it works well, although it might be a little easier with a screwdriver with a larger handle, because the screw holes in the case bottom that comes with the Arduino are not tapped, so you are forming the threads as you put the screws in the first time, but the included screwdriver did get the job done and it was nice to be able to put it together immediately without going to find an appropriate screwdriver. The protective plastic was left on the parts, and it did a great job of preventing the parts from getting scratched in shipping. removing the plastic film took a little patience, but I did get it off in one piece. The reset button extension works well, and it can't come so that's nice. The only issue with it is the extension is taller so it's a little more difficult to press if you have a shield in place, I can barely get it with my fingernail, but it's easy to press if you use the included screwdriver. There really isn't any other way to make the reset button work that I can think of.The case allows access to all the connectors and headers on the board, so you can use any kind of shield you want with it.I am very happy with this case, and it does a good job of making the Arduino Uno R4 Minima into a complete product.Edit: Yes, this is a MASSIVE difference between Uno, Uno R3 and Uno R4: The Uno R4 has a USB-C connector, not a huge USB-B connector. I am VERY glad they did not make this fit older Uno boards because then there would be a huge hole where my nice little USB-C connector is. This is specifically made for the Arduino Uno R4 Minima, it clearly states that it is for this specific board in the description and that it uses the original bottom that comes with the Arduino board. To reduce its rating because you are trying to use it in a way it was not designed for is really not fair at all..Also, I did buy another one of these for another Arduino Uno R4 Minima I have, because I like it so much.

Only useful if you have the original base
Part of the problem is that I didn't pay enough attention to the description, the bottom, where you screw the screws into, doesn't come with this, so only includes the top and the screws. I went looking but couldn't actually find a product including the base. So, overall, while it looks like it would be nice, I'll have to 3d print a base for it to work. I guess this would be ok to cover a newer R4 with an older base? Still, having a base in all the pictures can make someone, like me, not paying enough attention fail to read the 'no base' part.

Great Case
Looks good, works great, I love it. Nice little case, I don’t think you will be disappointed.

It is casish, but I wouldn't really call it a case
This is kind of a case, but not really a case. The Minima comes with plastic baseplate already. This is two cut pieces of plastic that are stacked on top of the board to protect it, so it kind of acts like a case, but I wouldn't really call it a case.It has cutouts for board components and attaches with 4 screws. Before assembling, be sure to remove the protective coating so it will be clear. It seems to work well enough, but as it appears laser cut, the edges are a bit sharp, and the screws don't seem to screw in tight. I think they are too long, or maybe I just can't get enough torque with the included screwdriver, or maybe there needs to be a bit of a counter sink where they head comes to the plastic, but as it is, they are not really tight, and they are not really flush with the surface, and there is a little slop, in that the plates can move. I could apply more force I guess, but I am worried about stripping the holes on the Minima base plate, or in the screws themselves, if I do that.

Not very clear
This cover fits my Arduino perfectly, I love how well protected it feels now. My only complaint is its not particularly transparent, like it still has all the markings from whatever they used to cut it clouding it up so much you can't hardly see the board.

KEEP YOUR PROJECTS PROTECTED….
This acrylic case was designed specifically to keep microcontrollers like the Arduino platform provides safe and protected from dust and damage. Additionally, because of the clever design it does so WITHOUT interfering with any of the multiple ports that designate both input/output, so you can still actively work on a project without having to undone the housing. Very clever, honestly these should come standard issue for the boards. The screws fit perfectly, everything truly does FIT LIKE A SUIT as far as the acrylic housing goes, which is high quality and impact resistant. All in all, I would HIGHLY suggest you protect your projects and material goods, and I CAN”T think of a better way than this one.

Precision acrylic case for the new Uno R4 Minima
I finally got my hands on the new Arduino R4 Minima, and needed a case. Sunfounder’s products are generally very good, and this is a very nice case. For this case, everything fits together very precisely, leaving access to all the GPIO, headers, and reset button (covered with a little plastic button), without any screws poking out the bottom. The screws self-tap into the base, and don’t have any annoying nuts on the bottom. The R4 comes with a bottom plate already, so these two plates just fit on the top. It came with 6 screws, 4 for the case, and 2 extras if you need to mount the R4 base plate to some surface or wall. From the pictures it almost looks like there is an open hole right above the main chip, but that’s only in one layer. The top layer is actually closed over the chip, and everything is very well protected. For just an acrylic case, it may be a bit expensive, but it is well designed and works perfectly, so it gets 5 stars. Plus, the LEDs look pretty cool when they light up the case!

Easy to put together
It was easy to put together for a Arduino minima with a base. Provides good protection and all pins are easily assessable through the case.
