It isn't made for any art crafting.

Q: Do you need to use shredder lubricating sheets with this?

I don’t know what that is. We just pulled it out of the box, attached the crank and started using it

Q: Can i use this to shred news paper?

Technically you could tear your newspaper in strips and then shred a few pieces at a time......but this would take FOREVER!! I'd say no to shredding newspaper.

Q: Is the on blade sharp on this blue jikiou? and is this shredder heavy duty enough to last a couple of years?

I don't believe it would be heavy duty enough to last a couple of years. I just bought it because it's a novelty item. When I use it, I can't even fold the paper in half, it's too thick and you have to remove all staples too. One hand has to hold the lid on while the other turns the handle. It's just a novelty item.
