Pros:-It has clear directions-Has good video tutorials-The directions and beginner tips are in a nice booklet so it all stays together and you can flip back and forth as needed.-The pattern is cute and pretty easy for beginners like me.-Both of the plushes are the same pattern with different color so you get practice and a second try to learn from your mistakes of the first one-comes with literally everything you need from the crochet hook (which was much nicer than the one I got in the other kit. It has a nice ergonomic handle that is very comfortable), yard, needle, stuffing, eyes, and even a cute little pair of scissors.Cons:-The ears, arms and legs are a bit difficult to do because they are so small. I appreciate that you have multiple chances to practice and plenty of yard to mess up and try again but would have appreciated a bit easier of a pattern for those.This is a perfect starter kit for someone who wants to learn to crochet. It is totally giftable. I recommend that you read the pattern in its entirety before you start as I, um, didn't and ended up sewing it upside down. Another reason it's nice this kit makes two!

I did some crochet work as a small child and was interested in picking it up again. Despite having crocheted before, this kit was much more advanced than someone who is truly a beginner. I found the included directions seriously lacking and very brief. They did not teach the different stitches in detail or show how to transition between the stitches.They offer videos online, but frankly I hate watching videos and had expected that the book would offer enough direction to get me started. If you are okay with learning mostly via the video route then this may be an option for you.The crochet materials included seemed to be of high quality and more like a t-shirt kind of material instead of a traditional yarn. The packaging was nice and it could be given as a gift.

It's a perfect little set for anyone who is wanting to learn to crochet. All of the tools you will need are included in the box, including the yarn. The instructions are clear and concise, with the video being a very handy tool.

The instructions and video were terrible. I could not make a single stitch. I suppose the instructions would make sense to someone who crochets but not to a complete beginner. I gave up after 15 minutes.

Says for beginners but I would say it’s more detailed than beginner level however with help from someone experienced it’s a great kit

If you have ever wanted to learn the relaxing art of crochet or knitting this is the perfect purchase for you. Although the craft can be intimidating and difficult, with a unique learning curve, this product simplifies it as much as possible. In fact, if you have difficulty with this project, or you do not like it, knitting might not be for you.In the box is everything you need to make the two cute plushies shown in the product listing. There is enough yarn for the exterior of the toys plus stuffing for inside, as well as all the tools needed, plus detailed instructions.Overall I did end up having a lot of difficulty learning to crochet. Without this product I probably would not have learned at all. Anything more difficult and I would have given up! But the instructions are clear and and helpful, the hook and other tools are perfectly designed for beginner hands, and the materials themselves are soft and simple. Overall a great fun project that can lead to learning a new, useful hobby!

This kit is a nice one for beginners and provides you all you need to make 2 small stuffed animals. The contents are clearly labeled in the book and the instructions provided are easy to follow. A nice quick project for beginners to crochet.
