I have many many govee lights and this is another that dose not fair to impress so where to startSetting up via the app is super easy the app will even detect that's there's a new set recently plugged in near by.Once set up on app, they are supper easy connected to Alexa and or Google home ( I use Google home from my phone)Brightness, colour selection are exactly as expected with govee limitless and synced with other lights looks amazing.No flickering as any point, no compatibility issues I've come across, all available functionality work perfectly.Down side? None

Everytime I show people govee products that ive brought (friend and family mainly) they literally go out and buy the exact same products as me!They are easy to set up bright and colourful and have always been a great quality.

I probably should not have bought these but I did.Overall they do a great job

These really are brilliant. Wasn’t set up. Took less than 30mins. Bit of measuring, marking where to put on the wall and using a level then just peel and stick the backing plate.After that clip the lights in place and tighten the cables as you go.Once up (30mins later) they are ready to go and look amazing. Really add an ambience to the room.The app is great so use that rather than the control on the cable itself which is my only negative point. It is only about 40cm from the light and would be better if it was much lower.With the app tho you can manage each light individually to change colours or set scenes. A few to choose from and also dancing colours to sounds.Been up for a few weeks and no issues. Me on looks superb (imo) as shown in photo.Highly recommend

I've bought these to use as down lights and want to install them along the top edge of the wall or a few cm down. They look good, are well constructed and the connection system is very imaginative. I've already got a few Govee devices so the fact that they all sync up is great. The app isn't the best being very cluttered, badly translated in places and often illogical in layout. However, it does give excellent control and make linking to smart home systems a breeze. Alexa hooks up much more easily than Google, but that seems to be the way with most smart devices these days (probably why my Google speakers are becoming progressively more redundant).The problem I have with these wall sconces is the cable length. The Amazon page shows them set up as down lights but they're very obviously designed to be uplights given the connection to power. the total length once the switch is attached to the power supply id about 230cm which is long enough to go from power outlet to ceiling in a normal modern house. But only if you go *straight* up from the outlet. This leaves you with a cable running up the wall. Our outlet is half a metre from the corner so that makes it impossible to run the cable into the corner and up without an extension (ordered so we'll see how that works) but these average 5m which is far more than needed. Worst of all though, is the distance from control box to first light. This is plugged into the end of the power cable and then to the first light in the string. It is only 79cm long meaning it sits about 3/4 of the way up the wall where it then plugs into the power cable. Given that we are using it with voice-control we don't even need it but it's a requirement for the device to work and is a handy backup. But it sits too high up and ruins the look completely. It's an ugly and inelegant solution that may make us return the product if we can't find a way to extend it and get it more out of sight and conveniently placed.This would have been much better with a very short power supply to switch lead then optional length leads to the lights. A short one for up lights and a longer one for down lighting.
