Basic colors but still great consistency expected from this brand.
Only dislike had nothing to do with quality of underglazes. The lid was loose on purple so several had splashed dried purple to be cleaned off. Have used Velvet Underglazes for years. The colors’ qualities never disappoint and remains true to color after low firing.

I've never used it without the brilliant glaze, so I don't know how it looks ...
They work really well on a low fire kiln. You need to use 3-4 layers of colours and you can (optionally) use 3-4 layers of a brilliance glaze to finish it. I've never used it without the brilliant glaze, so I don't know how it looks like, but works perfectly as I have described. And the colours look even better after heated. No disappointments!

A little disappointed
Overall we love the velvet under glaze line. However the quality of what we received was not up to par. Not sure where the problem occurred, with Amaco or Amazon, but 25% of the jars weren’t properly sealed and so the underglaze was not fully liquified. Hope this was an anomaly.

Nice Underglaze sampling
I really like these and it has given me a chance to try different colors without spending a lot on one color that I end up not liking. I have not used the pink yet not sure when I will. The yellow is a bit darker yellow than I like so I mix it with the white. I have put white splotched on over everything on a few items and I do like that look. This is my first try with underglaze, used it a little when taking ceramics but now I am using it more. I have tried different colors over the underglaze and clear is by far the best. All other colors for glaze seem to keep the underglaze from really getting more brilliant. I am just a hobby potter. Hope this review helps you.

Awesome
All as in the description. Only instead of Rosy Mauve was Radiant Red, but it is great. Thanks!
