Charming and fun to assemble
I enjoy these types of kits because it's fun to see how seemingly unrelated pieces fit together to form interesting shapes. The Mesiondy Building Flowers Set was no exception. The kit is a bit intimidating with 579 pieces, but they're grouped into three sets of plastic bags: 1, 2, and unlabeled. You initially open and use the pieces from the plastic bags labeled as "1" and the unlabeled bag of parts. The kit comes with a large 62-page instruction manual, which is easy to follow with diagrams, numbered steps, and notations for when it's necessary to rotate a group of pieces. Additionally, the instruction manual points out similar pieces helping you choose the correct pieces. When assembling the kit, it's helpful to orient the pieces to what's shown in the manual because it's easy to put a piece that fits to the "left" on the "right."I was concerned with putting the stickers on the base, but the ways they're designed makes it super easy! You simply line up the "clear plastic" with the edges of the base, press on the decal, and then remove the plastic. It took quite a few days for me to complete the model. Assembling the pieces in plastic bags labeled "1" was easy, but as you add more flowers it becomes more challenging to fit them in place without knocking off another flower. Thankfully, some of the larger assembled pieces (flowers) swivel, so you just need to move them slightly to make room for another flower or grouping. For some of the flowers and groupings, I used a little super glue to hold them in place, especially, if I'd placed them onto the frame several times, and the fittings had loosened. For the most part, all the pieces cleverly fit together. I used a needle-nosed pliers to carefully move several of the assembled pieces (flowers) into place and snap them down. There were a few extra pieces, but no missing pieces, which is nice. Plus, the pieces snap together with no "wiggle." They're high-quality with consistent colors. The music box plays, "You are my sunshine." The little lights (which you can't see in my photos) are in a plastic string, which can be woven around the frame and through the flowers. The string is attached to a small, which box with a battery inside. There's a small switch to turn the lights on-and-off.The completed piece is adorable. It's a bit delicate, so it's probably best to put on a shelf or in a cabinet. I love the funkiness of the flowers! And the cup at the top is beveled with an ornate lavender handle.

Nice
The directions were easy to follow, the pieces didn't always snap together as easily as they should and do fall off but a nice piece

Challenging and beautiful
This is a beautiful and novel set, but the build is challenging. For a certain type of builder, myself included, that is a perfect combination. The pieces are all of excellent quality and hold together very well except where the design pushes the limits of geometry and physics. The only criticism I have for the pieces themselves is the salmon color is slightly translucent, while none of the others are. Semi-translucence works really nicely with the LED lighting, but not quite as well under normal room lights. The instructions are very good and the only real difficulty I had with them was trying to distinguish between yellow and bright light orange or between salmon and dark pink. Fortunately, there are only a couple pieces where both colors are present, but it would have been helpful if they had included color callouts in addition to the similar piece callouts they used throughout. The instruction booklet is a good size and where text is used, it is bilingual in Chinese and English. My booklet bent in the box, but not badly. The box is also nicely printed and suitable for gifting.I hadn't initially noticed the music box base is decorated with stickers, and the stickers held another surprise. The transparent rectangular stickers are actually transfer tape for delicate stickers with strong adhesive. The instructions make no mention of this, so I didn't discover this feature until I attempted to reposition one and had the transparent material peel away from the design. The result is wonderful, but it does mean that you really only have one shot at positioning them. I haven't seen this technique used in brick building sets before, and I hope to encounter this innovation more in the future. The music box plays "You are My Sunshine". Mine is somewhat out of tune and absolutely horrifies my dog, but I see the base is assembled with screws, so it may be possible to swap this out. The other difficulty with the base is the baseplate of the build also serves as an adapter between mini- and standard-size studs. The music box lid doesn't have quite enough mini studs to securely hold the baseplate throughout what is sometimes a strenuous build.Building this model is challenging, but not excessively tough, so it's quite fun for the most part. The main difficulty is there are so many flower modules attached to every possible connection in such a variety of orientations, the final module or two in area can be difficult to fully seat with no firm opposing point to press against. In a couple instances, mainly the flowers with cup-shaped petals, this leads to the other difficulty that seating a module may dislodge one you thought was secure. The light string was easy to work with and the density of the build obscures its LEDs enough that the lighting is not too harsh. The power brick is sturdy, but I do wish its power switch was larger and easier to operate. You need to rotate one of the smaller flowers out of the way to access the switch, and being small and a bit stubborn, turning it on or off tends to partially separate the build plate from the music box top.The butterflies aren't included in the instructions, and I forgot about them completely until I found them while cleaning up. Their wings curled a bit in the box and I haven't succeeded in flattening them yet. They include small double-stick circles for placing those, but the butterflies also have magnets built-in, so I may end up using them elsewhere. I actually have some nearly identical butterflies that came mounted to floral wire, so I may try to incorporate those ones instead.I think that covers all the elements of the set I took note of. Although I've offered several criticisms, I must reiterate that I absolutely love this set and thoroughly enjoyed building it. It's a great one for experienced builders, and while younger children probably won't complete it as instructed, there's an abundance of floral pieces here to adorn their other creations. Growing up, I used to dream of having this many flowers to add to my Town sets. Many of these pieces would also be excellent additions to the recently-released Botanical Gardens Friends set.
