A great humidifier
We have a woodstove and needed a humidifier to keep the house from drying out. This one is wonderful. You can put in a ton of water and it automatically adjust to the humidity in your room. It's perfect for our needs.

Lasted 1 winter! (See review)
It worked great when it actually worked. But when we went to use it the next winter, it would no longer work..(A week after writing this review, the seller reached out to me and not only replaced the defective unit, but included an additional room humidifier for my troubles. Both new units work perfect. I was def impressed! )

Solid features and well made humidifier
I wanted to wait a couple of weeks trying this unit out before writing a review and I can say that this was a great purchase for me. I was pleasantly surprised by a few things that I wasn't expecting, and that's always good for the consumer.First, there is a straw that pulls water from the bottom storage up to the atomizer (what makes the mist) section. The surprise here is that the end of the straw has a filter, but it's not just a simple felt type filter that you'd normally see on coffee machines but it is a round cylinder with beads inside it. I'm not sure if they are carbon beads but it gave the perception of higher value for the money. The water atomizer section makes up the top half of the unit and it is well designed. It's easy to get to for cleaning and you can see that all the parts that make it up were well made and thought through. The top section has a removable lid and the lid has a swiveling vent that allows you to direct the mist in a 360 degree fashion. Not a big advantage given the diameter of the unit, meaning swinging the vent from the front to the back doesn't really make that much of a difference, but it was another nice value add.Next is the front digital control panel. Okay most of the digital panels out there are not very intuitive but this one does and tells you so much with so little. Kudos again to the design team on this. There are only 4 buttons and cycling through each of them tells you what's going on without the need to look up answers on the internet. Finally I'm saving the best one for last. The remote. The remote is nothing special. It has the usual on/off buttons and other bits that let you do from a distance what you can do directly on the humidifier. However, this remote has the most solid tactile buttons I've ever found on a unit that you probably would only expect on a higher end electronic device. You're familiar with the typical TV and stereo units where the buttons are soft when you click on it. This remote CLICKS and it clicks hard. It's almost like a fidget toy. Also, I'm not a tactile or remote obsessed nerd. It was just the last thing that I unpacked from the plastic packaging and I was just really surprised when I used it.Finally, it has automatic intelligent humidification detection, a sleep timer, nice beeping sounds when you touch the flush controls on the front, a nice copper accent on the design, it's super quiet....and it humidifies our room. Hope this review was helpful.

Do not recommend
It looked great but did not work. Followed the instructions to a T. Then followed the troubleshooting instructions and it made a lot of noise but kept indicating there was no water when it was full. It never gave any mist or humidity.

Winter dryness fix!
I now have two of these humidifiers! Long winters with these humidifiers are a huge value to your health. Easy to assemble and maintain! I also recommend purchasing the demineralization capsules that are also on Amazon!

This works amazing!! 10 out of 10 would buy again!
I bought this for after sinus surgery to keep the house humidity at a good level because the air was so dry. The best thing I've ever invested in! Would buy again. They are good and quick on service!

Quiet until it isn't
We just got 2 of these humidifiers to put in our house. Over all, they're quiet, but when the pump engages to move water from the bottom chamber to the top, it is quite noisy, and they make a constant burbl-ey noise. That water sound isn't totally unpleasant, but if you're the sensitive type who can't listen to running water without having to run to the bathroom, this one is NOT going to make you happy.I also don't love that the only way to have the machine enter sleepmode using the front machine buttons, is to turn the "volume" all the way up on the mist level. Using the remote, it isn't totally clear if you can lower that and still put it into sleep mode. (update - tested with the remote, as soon as you engage "sleep mode", it turns the fan speed all the way up. annoying)The window for the water level doesn't go all the way down the tank so you can get a view of how full it is from halfway full and up, but when you actually need to know if you need to refill as it gets low, you'll have no clue. Kinda dumb design. On one of our machines, I have the humidity set to 55%. The machine say that it is currently 61%, and it is still chugging along and hasn't shut itself down. (my weather station on the counter about 10 feet away says that the actual humidity in the house is still around 46%) So... it sure looks like the humidity gauge on the machine is crap. I guess that is ok since I'm expecting it to run all winter anyway, but it may be worth noting for people looking to use this with a target humidity level in mind. Also - the head unit doesn't turn off if you disengage it from the base to look at the water level. Surprising.Long story short, not a fan, but they're used now so we're stuck with them. We literally used our last ones to death (they lasted 4 winters of constant use) and I changed to these because they had a higher capacity. When these die, I'll go back to my previous Homemedics models.
