GoogleNest Hub 7” Smart Display with Google Assistant (2nd Gen) - Chalk

I actually have purchased two of these and absolutely love them. One in my bedroom, so nice to say “Ok Google set an alarm for ???” and it says ok and alarms perfectly. Or ask for the forecast etc. It will also show me my outdoor cameras how cool. Highly recommend!

Super easy to use! Quality image, exactly what we were looking for to monitor our cameras passively but great for sleep wellness tracking and streaming shows too!

Blows away the Echo..responsive, fast, easy setup. I love it. Echos Shows are garbage.

Device is stuck in Mandarin. I have reached out to Google and they are unwilling to help with the issue because it was purchased from a 3rd party seller. I have tried countless fixes and nothing works. There is no contact information for the seller either, so I cannot contact them about a replacement. When the language is changed to English, it reverts to mandarin within 24 hours every time.

This Google Nest Hub was a great addition to our house, we have smart appliances in a lot of the house, from Roombas to Lights, etc, and all of those work seamlessly with the Nest. The only concern I had when it first arrived was the language was in Chinese including the instructions, HOWEVER, unlike what i've seen in other reviews the moment it detected my phones language for setup it automatically changed the language to English. Based on what I could find online this appears to be a benefit of using a Samsung phone over an Apple phone. You might have some slight issues with the first setup of the product if it fails to change languages, but setting it up was an ease for me.Regardless of it being a Chinese model out of the box, it functions perfectly fine with no downsides compared to an English/American model.

I wanted a Smart device to control things like my Hue lights and other IoT devices as well as something that could display digital photos so I initially purchased an Amazon Echo Show. The Show ended up being little more than an ad delivery device. Despite all efforts to disable ads on the thing, it would show ads non-stop. Maybe once in a while it would show a photo. Why would you pay money for such a thing?I instantly returned it and got a Google Nest. You know what? ZERO ads. Perfect sync with Google Photo. And it's Smart. Really Smart.If you're debating between this and an Echo Show, it's a no brainer. Google Nest 100%.

Having Google around to ask questions, play music, or connect to my doorbell is great. When my nephews are around, they can call their mom on it even when I am not there. It is very user-friendly and adaptable.

Awesome, great upgrade from the gen 1 version.
