It took me twice as long as it should to assemble, mostly because there are no instructions...anywhere. It tells you to check the wiki, which is only helpful in terms of the programming part of this project. However, once I got it fully built, I charged up the batteries (not included by the way) and instantly it started smoking and melted the battery housing within 1 minute. These were the exact type of battery that this housing takes even down to being flat top. they were charged normally and weren't defective. I would not recommend this to anyone wanting to teach kids about robotics and to inspire inquisitive natures.

I bought this as a birthday gift for my son. He is in third grade and cannot put it together by himself. So after a couple of months, I decided to sit down with him and help him figure out how it works. We have two issues.First, this thing doesn’t have a manual. There is no instruction on how to assemble it. If they can’t provide a written instruction, at least they can provide a few photos of the assembled product from different angles. But there is none.Second, the long post shown in the picture here does not have tapped holes like the other three. So I can’t use it. I send message to the company through Amazon, but I didn’t receive any reply from the company. Since I already missed the deadline to return the product, I cannot return it either.Not a good buying experience. I need to buy something else for my son.
