Industrial Grade for Industrial Installations
As expected, this pack has 4 galvanized steel outlet boxes with steel duplex receptacle covers. I was surprised to find that these boxes also come with four copper grounding wires and screws. The steel parts have an unpleasant smelling, oily coating that should provide some additional protection against corrosion. Although the website claims the receptacle covers are the exact same size as the boxes (2” x 4”), they are larger (2 3/16” x 4 1/16”), as they need to be to cover the box correctly. The boxes are industrial strength and, with 10 knockouts, suitable for a wide variety of wiring situations. These boxes are not equipped with the small protrusions used to easily and correctly allow space for drywall, nor with screw mounting brackets outside the box for attachment to studs. The only easy way to attach a box for a basement ceiling installation was to screw it into the bottom face of a joist. This is fine for an unfinished basement, but these are not the outlet boxes you want for most applications, including those with a drywall covering. More generally, the box would be better if it had 1-2 fewer punch outs and at least 2 screw holes on a side for side mounting.

Nice Boxes
I plan on using these to make some extension cords with a box connection on the end. I like the fact that these are metal so they won't snap when I whip them across the floor. These look like they can take a beating and I intend to give them a run for the money. I'll update my review if they don't stand up to muster.

Love the covers on the Pack of 4 Boxes and Covers:
The covers on the Pack of 4 Boxes and Covers aren't your basic covers but have a bit of style to them. These make my other outlet boxes look basic. Each box comes with ground wire to quickly connect ground to the box.I'm excite to get these installed in my basement.
