It like this design much better than the rest. The hood that holds the reflector is solid and holds the shape of the reflector. Other more expensive light holders are flimsy and break easy. The bulb that came with it was reading 4 UVI 8 inches from the light. Not to bad. I'll buy this brand from now on.

Good light for the cost.
I like this light and it works well for the price. I did have a hard time getting it lined up exactly where it needed to be. It worked well for about a week and then I had a day were it was off and took a bit of work to get it in just the right position to work, but it’s been fine since. My advice is to double check that the bulb is in place.

Lights worked for a while
These lights lasted less than a year, one stopped working randomly. Then the second also stopped working after trying to change the bulb. When I unplugged it the top largest pin came out with the plug. I didn't do it hard, it just came out. I'd recommend getting the reptile systems fixtures or the ones by pangea or joshs frogs. They'll be better than this.

Fixture works but the included bulb was broken
Update: I was contacted by customer support and offered a refund or two new bulbs. I elected to have two bulbs sent. They were shipped pretty quickly. I have yet to check if these bulbs work.Purchased this for my ball python. Took everything out of the package and plugged it in and the light didn't work. I had a second bulb from a different brand. Plugged that in and the fixture worked.

Just what I was looking for
I got this for my red foot tortoise and it has been working really great so far. It’s very sturdy and was nicer than I expected. I would buy again if I needed. Another one. You could use the for other reptiles or even birds I believe.

Works & fits as it should
Lighting for turtle habitat. The light fits the bulbs i use, fits my tank & works fine.

terrible low quality
flickers at any tap or touch and is down right very cheap feeling do not buy this buy bulbs instead
