Husband loves this bench
I was worried about this bench's sturdiness, but it can hold a big man with no problems. The photo shows someone standing over the far end of the bench, but that worries me. I wouldn't advise it. Bought the 12" x 2" x 8' board (about $10), placed it between the brackets and it works great. The board flexes when someone stands on it, but it holds up well. No more up-and-down on the ladder for cutting in at the ceiling. My husband's favorite gift ever. I'm not kidding. He raves about this bench. I priced portable benches at the local hardware superstores and they ran $80 or more and didn't hold as much weight as this one.

Great Log Holder
I am using two of these right now for log holders. It is much sturdier than anything else I have seen. If I stop needing it for that purpose, it takes up very little storage room.
