Yes you can view it from either side. I wouldn't recommend that you purchase it.

What are they made out of? plastic or is it wood and glass? I'm looking to give to a child without the frame stand. Thanks

It was plastic, not well made, I don't think it would last very long with a child. I sent mine back.
