I like the keyer, but the speed control was backwards. I.e., the speed was maximum with the control fully counterclockwise. I disconnected the wire on the outer pin of the control, and re-soldered it to the opposite outer pin and this solved the problem. Also, inserting the batteries (and battery replacement) is a real pain as you have to remove four tiny screws and pull the electronics out of the case. I removed the battery case from the board (it is just held in with two screws), nibbled a small slot in the back panel for the wires, and drilled and tapped 4-40 screw holes in the case so I could re-mount the battery case on the outside as you can see in the picture. The internal battery case wires were long enough such that no soldering was necessary. Now this is a very good product!
