A good entry-level drafting board
This is a fine entry-level drafting board. The rules are fairly straight. Accessory tools work. It's a little flimsy, e.g., there's probably still an 1/8 inch of wiggle room with the horizontal rule, even when it's locked in. Served my purposes fine, and great value for the price. If you need something higher precision you probably have to pay 2-5 times as much money. Depends on your needs.

Beautifully designed
People who need a professional drafting board should buy one. This is an inexpensive but extremely cost effective drawing tool for students, artists, and other casual users. If I had my way, they'd build a heavy duty model to install on every desktop for 5th, 6th, and 7th grade classroom in the country. Ironically, the model I got used Imperial measures and I much prefer metric. It is a pity I can't swap with someone who likes it the other way around. The bottom line is, for this price, this board is wonderful.

Garbage product
Stay away. First, the description said it was in inches but it arrived with inches and in metric. I'm i the US - why would I want metric? When I would go to move any part of this, it bound up. The angle compass was off - set it at 90 degrees and it was off by at least 2-3 degree. The sliding horizon ruler bound up with trying to move it. The paper anchor device wouldn't hold the paper - I ended up have to tape the paper down to get it to hold.Overall, I think this is junk and I would not recommend it to anyone.

I would recommend this for children
Not at all what I was expecting, or really as was illustrated. It's easy enough to assemble. And it's all good to look at. But to actually use it requires a little work since nothing is secure. The sliding ruler is supposed to lock it in place, but it still moves an 1/8" or so with the slightest pressure from a pencil, which can easily throw off your while design. The other tools as well, have to be held down to use accurately. I guess it would be fine for children to practice with, but I would not recommend using it for anything serious or important. The protractor is good though. 😕

Does what I needed at an affordable price
Has everything I need for woodworking design projects. Time will tell how long the plastic parts hold up

Clever bit of gear...
If you want to do layouts or mechanical drawing the old school way, this is great. It has built in clips so you don't even need drafting tape. Come with a decent metal compass for drawing circles. I wish it was just an inch or two bigger for laying out borders on 11" x 17" paper. They will fit but without a lot of bleed area. It would probably work great for ruling panel borders and lettering guides on hand-drawn comic pages. It's mostly plastic but it's rigid and light enuogh.
