Sony HVLLEIR1 Battery Video Light for Camcorder - Black

This video light does just about all you could hope for. It is powered by two AA batteries and provides a powerful LED white light for night shooting. The brightness can be controlled by a thumb wheel on the side of the unit and the important thing is that while expensive, this light is well made and not at all heavy. It also has a built-in temperature conversion filter for those who know what they are doing, plus a switchable infra-red facility for those who have video cameras with Night-Shot.I like it and I'm pleased I bought it.

Okay - let's be honest. I had to return this as the one that was supplied was damaged (a managers special deal). In the couple of hours that I tested it, the build was what you'd expect from Sony - clean lines and simple function, and I'm sure that an undamaged one would work really well. The infra red option really extends the range of filming for my Sony 4K camera in darkness, and the basic led lamp setting is good for close-up to mid-shot fill lighting. Don't expect this lamp to give you serious extra lighting at a distance, although the sensitivity of current cameras makes this less of an issue. The shoe fitting is obviously a weak point. That was one of the areas that was broken when I received it. The brightness setting wheel is also probably vulnerable. My guess is that someone dropped it and returned it. If you do buy this lamp, do treat it carefully as these two vital areas are critical for function. My only other criticism is the highish price, but you can say that about most Sony kit.

Exceptionally good product

Quite pricey for what it is but it does the job and does it very well, I bought this along with the Sony ax33 and they are perfect together in the dark or dark lit areas.There is infra red mode and also led mode, both are dimmable and the led mode also has a soft skin tone cover that flips down and works fantastic.Recommended!

Ordered this to go with my Sony Handycam, great light on both infra red and normal.Well worth the money if you do a lot of filming at night.

Powerful light, I'm using it on a separate tripod, as I have more control of what I'm lighting up.

Lo uso para la handycam de sony, tengo el modelo más antiguo y grabando a oscuras por completo en casa se ve bastante bien el video, luz más que suficiente y la luz IR fenomenal da una notable a la visión nocturna de la Cámara.Si no usas visión nocturna y solo quieres luz, seguro que por el precio encuentras algo mejor, piensa que el dispositivo valdrá lo que vale por ambas funciones, yo estoy contento con el.

Die Lampe an sich ist nicht schlecht: regelbare Lichtstärke, Farbtemperatur änderbar mittels Klappfilter. Ich hatte allerdings erwartet, dass sie auf den Schuh meines Sony HDR-CX 730 passt. Aber das tut sie nicht! Man muss einen Zwischenadapter verwenden udn dadurch wird die Halterung leicht instabil. Warum kann man sich nicht darauf verlassen, dass eine Sony Leuchte zu einem Sony Gerät passt? Oder wenn schon nicht: warum wird das dan nicht angegeben?

No puedo estar más decepcionado. El foco además de caro no cumple sus funciones. Si lo tienes encendido en el del 5 al 10 al minuto se apaga solo y te jode la grabación. Por debajo del 5 dura un poquito más encendido pero se apaga también. Esto debería ocurrir cuando tiene poca pila. Pero pasa con las pilas nuevas. U no de 20 euros no se apaga.
