I'm a professional propane technician. This valve is a good product at a great price. With this and a pilot assembly I also purchased here I was able to rejuvenate a twenty year old Vermont Casting stove. If you want to do this yourself, make sure you get the exact same valve that is on your appliance. They will not refund your money once the packaging is opened, and for good reason. Once someone has tampered with the valve it has to be discarded for safety reasons. Be sure to order LP if that's what you need. I know how to convert the valves, but most people don't.

I’m glad it worked, and it’s a lot cheaper than jotul OEM and identical. Worth a roll of the dice.Taking off a star because it’s pretty clear that if it hadn’t worked, I wasn’t going to be able to get a refund based on their ridiculous packaging technique.

Product was exactly what I needed, However, the packaging was a bit of an issue. The purchase process made it clear that if I opened the packaging I could not return it. So they encourage the purchasers to be sure it is the correct part... Product was exactly what I needed, however, the way they wrapped it was a bit of a problem because the instructions inside the packaging covered the product info plate. So I could not verify the model number unless I opened it. It was the right product, so all turned out good.
